Abstract

Ultisol merupakan ordo tanah yang memiliki permeabilitas lambat, kandungan unsur hara dan bahan organik rendah, serta memiliki agregat yang kurang stabil. Stabilitas agregat yang rendah mengakibatkan struktur tanah menjadi mudah hancur sehingga menyebabkan aerasi kurang baik, laju infiltrasi dan indeks stabilitas yang rendah, kemudian tanah akan menjadi padat. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan agar Ultisol menjadi media tanam yang optimal dan memiliki kemantapan agregat yaitu dengan pemberian bahan organik dari kompos lamtoro (KL) dan biochar tempurung kelapa (BTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Tangkit Lama, Kecamatan Sungai Gelam, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, Provinsi Jambi dimulai dari Mei sampai September 202. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK). Perlakuan taraf dosis adalah A0 (tanpa KL dan BTK), A1 (BTK 10 ton/ha), A2 (KL 5 ton/ha dan BTK 10 ton/ha), A3 (KL 10 ton/ha), A4 (KL 10 ton/ha dan BTK 5 ton/ha), dan A5 (KL 10 ton/ha dan BTK 10 ton/ha). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian KL 10 ton/ha dan BTK 5 ton/ha efektif meningkatkan persen agregat terbentuk dan kemantapan agregat serta pemberian KL dan BTK dengan dosis masing-masing 5 : 10, 10 : 0, 10 : 5, dan 10 : 10 mampu meningkatkan hasil kedelai sekitar 43% hingga 50% dibanding tanpa perlakuan. Ultisols are soil orders that have slow permeability, low nutrient and organic matter content, and have unstable aggregates. Low aggregate stability causes the soil structure to be easily destroyed, causing poor aeration, infiltration rate and low stability index, then the soil will become dense. Efforts that can be made so that Ultisol becomes an optimal planting medium and has aggregate stability is by applying organic materials from lamtoro compost (KL) and coconut shell biochar (BTK). This research was conducted in Tangkit Lama Village, Sungai Gelam District, Muaro Jambi Regency, Jambi Province from May to September 202. This study used a randomized group design (RAK). The dose level treatments were A0 (without KL and BTK), A1 (BTK 10 tons/ha), A2 (KL 5 tons/ha and BTK 10 tons/ha), A3 (KL 10 tons/ha), A4 (KL 10 tons/ha and BTK 5 tons/ha), and A5 (KL 10 tons/ha and BTK 10 tons/ha). The results showed that the application of KL 10 tons/ha and BTK 5 tons/ha effectively increased the percent of aggregates formed and aggregate stability and the application of KL and BTK at doses of 5 : 10, 10 : 0, 10 : 5, and 10 : 10 were able to increase soybean yields by about 43% to 50% compared to no treatment.
