Abstract

ANALISIS SIFAT FISIKA TANAH GAMBUT DI RAWA BENTO KECAMATAN GUNUNG TUJUH KABUPATEN KERINCI Henjelika Evsanti1), Mohd Zuhdi2) dan Agus Kurniawan M3) 1)Mahasiswa Jurusan Agroekoteknologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi 2)Dosen Jurusan Agroekoteknologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi Kampus Pinang Masak, Mendalo Darat, Jambi 36361 Email : henjelikaevsa@gmail.com ABSTRAK Gambut adalah material yang terbentuk dari bahan organik seperti daun, batang, dan akar tumbuhan, terakumulasi dalam waktu yang sangat lama pada kondisi tergenang dan sedikit oksigen serta keasaman yang tinggi. Proses pembentukan gambut dari timbunan sisa tanaman yang telah mati, baik itu yang sudah lapuk maupun belum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mempelajari sifat fisika tanah gambut yang berada di Rawa Bento Kecamatan Gunung Tujuh, Kabupaten Kerinci. Variable yang diamati yaitu ketebalan gambut, kematangan gambut, bahan organic, kadar abu, kadar air, dan bobot volume. Pengambilan sampel penelitian survei berdasarkan titik boring dengan metode survei, pada titik pengamatan di sepanjang transek dengan jarak tiap titik 100 m. Transek dibuat tegak lurus terhadap sungai utama (Sungai Bento), titik pertama dari sungai berjarak 50 m dan titik berikut nya setiap jarak 100 m. The process of forming peat from piles of dead plant remains, whether rotted or not. This research aims to determine and study the physical properties of peat soil in Rawa Bento, Gunung Tujuh District, Kerinci Regency. The variables observed were peat thickness, peat maturity, organic matter, ash content, water content, and volume weight. Survey research sampling is based on boring points using the survey method, at observation points along the transect with a distance of 100 m from each point. Transects are made perpendicular to the main river (Bento River), the first point from the river is 50 m away and the following points are every 100 m away.
