Abstract
Abstract : Soybean plants as a source of vegetable protein, raw materials for the feed industry and processed food industry make soybean plants as food commodities after rice and corn. Soybean productivity in Jambi Province is relatively low compared to national productivity. The low productivity of soybeans in Jambi Province shows that there are obstacles in the cultivation of soybean plants, including pest attacks. One of the pests that attack is pod-sucking pests. This study aimed to investigate the population and level of pod-sucking pests attacks on several soybean plant varieties and obtained soybean plant varieties with low pod-sucking pest attacks. This research was conducted at the Research Farm and Pest Laboratory, of the Faculty of Agriculture, Jambi University over period of 3 months, from October to December 2022. This study was conducted using Randomized Block Design (RBD). The treatments tested were four soybean varieties, namely: V1= Anjasmoro variety, V2= Deja 1 variety, V3= Dena 1 variety, and V4= Devon 1 variety. The variables observed included the pest types and populations, the percentage of infested pods, the percentage of infested seeds, trichome density of pods, thickness of pods skin and production. The data obtained were identified, analyzed using variance analysis and continued with Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the types of pod sucking pests found in Anjasmoro Varieties were R. linearis, N. viridula and P. hybneri, in Deja 1, Dena 1 and Devon 1 Varieties were R. linearis and P. hybneri. The level of pod sucking attacks was different in all soybean varieties tested, the best variety and highest production was found in Deja 1 Variety. Ringkasan: Tanaman kedelai sebagai sumber protein nabati, bahan baku industri pakan dan industri olahan pangan menjadikan tanaman kedelai sebagai komoditi pangan setelah padi dan jagung. Produktivitas kedelai di Provinsi Jambi tergolong rendah dibandingkan produktivitas nasional. Rendahnya produktivitas kedelai di Provinsi Jambi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kendala dalam budidaya tanaman kedelai, diantaranya yaitu adanya serangan hama. Salah satu hama yang menyerang yaitu hama penghisap polong. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui populasi dan tingkat serangan hama penghisap polong pada beberapa varietas tanaman kedelai dan diperoleh varietas tanaman kedelai dengan serangan hama penghisap polong yang rendah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Lahan Percobaan dan Laboratorium Hama Tanaman Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi selama 3 bulan, pada bulan Oktober sampai bulan Desember 2022. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK). Perlakuan yang diuji adalah empat varietas kedelai, yaitu: V1= Varietas Anjasmoro, V2= Varietas Deja 1, V3= Varietas Dena 1, dan V4= Varietas Devon 1. Variabel yang diamati meliputi jenis dan populasi hama, persentase polong terserang, persentase biji terserang, kerapatan trikoma polong, ketebalan kulit polong dan produksi. Data yang diperoleh diidentifikasi, dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis hama penghisap polong yang ditemukan pada Varietas Anjasmoro yaitu R. linearis, N. viridula dan P. hybneri, pada Varietas Deja 1, Dena 1 dan Devon 1 yaitu R. linearis dan P. hybneri. Tingkat serangan penghisap polong berbeda pada semua varietas kedelai yang diuji, varietas terbaik dan produksi paling tinggi terdapat pada Varietas Deja 1.
