Abstract
ABSTRAK – Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui rasio tepung limbah udang jerbung dan gliserol terhadap karakteristik bioplastik dan menentukan perlakuan perbandingan rasio tepung limbah udang jerbung dan gliserol terbaik terhadap karakteristik bioplastik yang dihasilkan. Rancangan yang dilakukann adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 taraf perlakuan dan tiga kali ulangan sehingga didapatkan 15 satuan percobaan. Adapun parameter yang diamati adalah kuat tarik, elongasi, ketebalan, daya serap air, water vapour transmission rate (wvtr) dan persentase kumulatif bioplastik. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA taraf 5% dan 1%. Apabila terdapat pengaruh nyata pada perlakuan, dilanjutkan uji Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) pada taraf 5%. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu rasio tepung limbah udang jerbung dan gliserol dengan rasio berbeda-beda yaitu P1 tepung limbah udang 0 g : gliserol 3 g ; P2 tepung limbah udang 0,5 g : gliserol 2,5 g ; P3 tepung limbah udang 1 g : gliserol 2 g ; P4 tepung limbah udang 1,5 g ; gliserol 1,5 g ; P5 tepung limbah udang 2 g : gliserol 1g. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan P3 dengan rasio tepung limbah udang jerbung 1 g : gliserol 2 g adalah perlakuan terbaik dengan nilai kuat tarik 19,26 N/mm2 , elongasi 84,09%, ketebalan 0,35 mm, daya serap air 30,79%, wvtr 20,80 g/m2 .jam dan bioplastik lebih cepat terurai daripada jenis plastik sintesis. Kata kunci – Bioplastik; Gliserol dan Tepung Limbah Udang ABSTRACT - This study was conducted to determine the ratio of shrimp waste powder and glycerol to the characteristics of bioplastics and determine the best ratio of shrimp waste powder and glycerol to the characteristics of bioplastics produced. The design carried out was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 levels of treatment and three replications so that 15 experimental units were obtained. The parameters observed were tensile strength, elongation, thickness, water absorption, water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) and cumulative bioplastic percentage. The data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA at 5% and 1% levels. If there is a significant effect on the treatment, the Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) is continued at the 5% level. The treatment given is the ratio of shrimp waste flour and glycerol with different ratios, namely P1 shrimp waste powder 0 g : glycerol 3 g ; P2 shrimp waste powder 0,5 g : glycerol 2,5 g ; P3 shrimp waste powder 1 g : glycerol 2 g ; P4 shrimp waste powder 1,5 g ; glycerol 1,5 g ; P5 shrimp waste powder 2 g : glycerol 1 g. The results showed that P3 with a ratio of 1 g: 2 g glycerol was the best treatment with a tensile strength value of 19,26 N/mm2, elongation of 84,09%, thickness of 0,35 mm, water absorption capacity 30,79%, wvtr of 20,80 g/m2.h and bioplastics decompose faster than synthetic plastic types.
