Pembimbing: (I) Dr. Muhammad Ali, S.Pd., M.Pd, (II) Dr. Indryani, S.Pd., M.Pd.I Kata Kunci: Modul, pelatihan jurnalistik, online, jurnalis pemula Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: 1) Mengembangkan modul pembelajaran jurnalistik pemula berbasis online, 2) Mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan modul pembelajaran jurnalistik pemula berbasis online untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis khusus berita online. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan Dick and Carey. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah uji coba kelompok kecil dan uji coba kelompok besar. Uji coba kelompok kecil sebanyak 7 orang jurnalis pemula, dan uji coba kelompok besar sebanyak 15 orang jurnalis. Sasaran pengujian modul pelatihan jurnalistik berbasis online yang dikembangkan adalah jurnalis pemula di portal berita online Tribunjambi.com. Hasil uji coba kelompok kecil menunjukkan pernyataan yang muncul paling banyak adalah baik yaitu 50 pernyataan. Sangat Baik 48 pernyataan dan Cukup Baik 7 pernyataan. Pilihan pernyataan tidak baik dan sangat buruk tidak dipilih oleh peserta pelatihan pada uji coba kelompok kecil ini. Dengan hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa modul ini dapat membantu jurnalis pemula dalam memberitakan dan menulis berita karena dapat dipelajari secara mandiri, tanpa harus menggunakan tutor, karena 48 persen pernyataan dengan kategori baik dipilih oleh peserta. Setelah itu dilanjutkan dengan uji kelompok besar yang hasilnya pernyataan peserta pelatihan yang paling banyak muncul adalah sangat baik yaitu sebanyak 195 pernyataan. Terdapat 26 pernyataan baik yang dipilih peserta dan 4 pernyataan cukup baik. Sedangkan pilihan pernyataan tidak baik dan sangat buruk tidak dipilih oleh peserta pelatihan kelompok besar. Dari data tersebut terlihat adanya perbedaan hasil pilihan pernyataan yang disampaikan peserta pelatihan kelompok kecil dan kelompok besar. Dari hasil uji coba kelompok kecil, pernyataan baiklah yang paling sering dipilih, namun dari hasil uji coba kelompok besar, setelah dilakukan revisi pada modul pelatihan ini, pernyataan sangat baiklah yang paling banyak dipilih oleh peserta pelatihan. . Artinya hasil uji coba kelompok besar ini setelah dilakukan revisi dan penyempurnaan modul berdasarkan hasil uji coba kelompok kecil disimpulkan berada pada taraf sangat baik, karena 87 persen peserta pelatihan memilih pernyataan dalam kategori sangat baik. This research used research and development methods using the Dick and Carey development model. The targets for this research were small group trials and large group trials. Small group trials of 7 novice journalists, and large group trials of 15 journalists. The targets for testing the online-based journalism training module being developed were beginner journalists on the online news portal Tribunjambi.com. The results of the small group trial showed that the statements that appeared the most were good, 50 statements. Very Good 48 statements and Fairly Good 7 statements. The choices of not good and very bad statements were not chosen by the training participants in this small group trial. With these results, it was concluded that this module could help novice journalists in reporting and writing news because it could be studied independently, without having to use a tutor, because 48 percent of the statements in the good category were chosen by the participants. After that, the large group test was continued, the result of which was that the training participants' statements that appeared the most were very good, namely 195 statements. There were 26 good statements chosen by the participants and 4 quite good statements. Meanwhile, the choices of not good and very bad statements were not chosen by the large group training participants. It can be seen from this data that there are differences in the results of the choice of statements submitted by small group and large group training participants. As a result of the small group trial, the good statement was the most frequently chosen, however, as a result of the large group trial, after revisions were made to this training module, the very good statement was the most chosen by the training participants. This means that the results of this large group trial, after revising and improving the module based on the results of the small group trial, were concluded to be at a very good level, because 87 percent of the training participants chose statements in the very good category.
