Abstract
Kata Kunci: Prasasti, Timah, Mantra, Sima, dan Interpretasi Data ABSTRACT The tin inscriptions from Rumah Menapo Jambi collection discussed in this research are referred to as RM 10 and RM 17 tin inscriptions. These two inscriptions have been researched by Andhifani (2018), Griffths (2018), and Tim Tejowasono (2019). The issues discussed are transliteration and translation as well as chronology, geography, biography, and the occurrence and position of the two tin inscriptions. The theory used is Boechari's theory (2018) and the research methods applied are epigraphic and archaeological methods. Based on a re-reading of the two inscriptions, differences were found from the previous reading. The script used is the Old Sumatran script with Old Malay and Sanskrit language. Based on the results of data interpretation, the RM 10 tin inscription originates from the XIV century AD and is a mantra inscription. Meanwhile, the RM 17 tin inscription originates from the X-XV century AD and is a type of sima inscription. Based on their position, the two tin inscriptions were born under the influence of Adityawarman's government or later and were adapted by people who were close to the religious environment considering that the location of their discovery was in the Muarajambi Temple Site Area.
