Abstract

ABSTRAK Kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) merupakan salah satu komoditi perkebunan yang sangat pesat perkembangannya dibandingkan dengan komoditi lain dalam perkebunan. Hasil olahan dari tanaman tersebut merupakan produk minyak sawit (Crude Palm Oil) dan minyak inti sawit (Palm Kernel Oil). Pada umumnya media di pembibitan menggunakan tanah ultisol, Pemanfaatan tanah Ultisol sebagai media tanam bibit kelapa sawit memiliki hara makro yang rendah dengan tingkat kemasaman yang tinggi, kejenuhan Al yang tinggi sehingga tanah ultisol menyebabkan rendahnya produktivitas. Upaya untuk meningkatkan kesuburan tanah Ultisol diperlukan tambahan pupuk anorganik. Pupuk anorganik memiliki beberapa kelemahan yakni hanya memiliki fungsi untuk memperbaiki sifat kimia tanah saja, adapun kelemahan lain dari pupuk anorganik ini ialah jika dipakai terus menerus maka akan berdampak pada penurunan pH tanah, merusak struktur tanah, dan turunnya kadar bahan organik tanah sehingga dapat menurunkan produktivitas tanah. Oleh karena itu dalam budidaya kelapa sawit, pengaplikasian pupuk organik diperlukan untuk mengurangi pemakaian pupuk anorganik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Teaching and Research Farm Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi. Waktu yang dibutuhkan dalam penelitian ini yaitu 4 bulan dari bulan Agustus 2023 sampai dengan November 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan pada konsentrasi POC urine sapi yaitu, p0: tanpa POC urine sapi (100% pupuk NPK), p1: POC urine sapi 150 ml L-1 + 50% pupuk NPK, p2: POC urine sapi 300 ml L-1 + 50% pupuk NPK, p3: POC urine sapi 450 ml L-1 + 50% pupuk NPK, p4: POC urine sapi 600 ml L-1 + 50% pupuk NPK. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 5 kali sehingga terdapat 25 plot percobaan. Setiap percobaan terdiri dari 3 tanaman dengan 2 tanaman sebagai sampel, sehingga diperlukan 75 tanaman. Variabel yang diamati yaitu tinggi bibit, diameter bonggol, jumlah pelepah daun, luas daun total, bobot kering tajuk, bobot kering akar dan rasio tajuk akar. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan sidik ragam kemudian dilanjutkan dengan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) pada taraf 5% dan 1%. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik cair urine sapi mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit di pembibitan utama. POC urine sapi 450 ml L-1 + 50 % pupuk NPK merupakan konsentrasi terbaik. Kata kunci: Kelapa Sawit, Pupuk Anorganik, Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) Urine Sapi. ABSTRACT Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is one of the plantation commodities which is developing very rapidly compared to other commodities in plantations. The processed products from these plants are palm oil (Crude Palm Oil) and palm kernel oil (Palm Kernel Oil). In general, the media in nurseries uses ultisol soil. The use of Ultisol soil as a planting medium for oil palm seedlings has low macro nutrients with a high acidity level, high Al saturation so that ultisol soil causes low productivity. Efforts to increase Ultisol soil fertility require additional inorganic fertilizer. Inorganic fertilizer has several weaknesses, namely that it only has the function of improving the chemical properties of the soil. Another weakness of this inorganic fertilizer is that if it is used continuously it will have an impact on reducing soil pH, damaging soil structure, and decreasing soil organic matter levels so that it can reduce productivity. land. Therefore, in oil palm cultivation, the application of organic fertilizer is necessary to reduce the use of inorganic fertilizer. This research was carried out at the Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Jambi University. The time required for this research is 4 months from August 2023 to November 2023. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments on cow urine POC concentrations, namely, p0: no cow urine POC (100% NPK fertilizer), p1: POC cow urine 150 ml L-1 + 50% NPK fertilizer, p2: POC cow urine 300 ml L-1 + 50% NPK fertilizer, p3: POC cow urine 450 ml L-1 + 50% NPK fertilizer, p4: POC cow urine 600 ml L-1 + 50% NPK fertilizer. Each treatment was repeated 5 times so that there were 25 experimental plots. Each experiment consisted of 3 plants with 2 plants as samples, so 75 plants were needed. The variables observed were seed height, tuber diameter, number of leaf midribs, total leaf area, shoot dry weight, root dry weight and root shoot ratio. The data obtained were analyzed using variance then followed by the Least Significant Difference Test (LSL) at the 5% and 1% levels. The results of this research show that the application of liquid organic fertilizer from cow urine can increase the growth of oil palm seedlings in the main nursery. Cow urine POC 450 ml L-1 + 50% NPK fertilizer is the best concentration. Key words: Palm Oil, Inorganic Fertilizer, Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) Cow Urine.
