Abstract
Penambangan batubara dapat merusak fungsi hidrologis pada areal penambangan tersebut. Pengaruh besar juga akan berdampak pada infiltrasi dan permeabilitas tanah bekas tambang batubara tersebut. Upaya dalam memperbaiki karakteristik tanah bekas tambang batubara yaitu melalui reklamasi dan revegetasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji laju dan kapasitas infiltrasi tanah bekas tambang batubara pasca reklamasi di areal reklamasi PT. Nan Riang Kecamatan Muara Tembesi Kabupaten Batanghari Provinsi Jambi pada lahan disposal tidak aktif, sengon, jabon, dan rambutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dan pemilihan areal pewakil dengan menggunakan metode Purposive Random Sampling. Pengukuran infiltrasi dilakukan 3 kali pada setiap penggunaan lahan. Sampel tanah utuh dan tanah terganggu pada kedalaman 0-30 cm dan 30-60 cm. Data hasil analisis laboratorium dan pengamatan lapangan kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Parameter yang diamati yaitu kandungan BO, tekstur, bobot volume, total ruang pori, permeabilitas, kadar air, dan laju serta kapasitas infiltrasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas laju dan kapasitas infiltrasi mengalami peningkatan pada setiap jenis vegetasi jika dibandingkan dengan lahan bekas tambang batubara yang belum direvegetasi. Pada disposal tidak aktif rata-rata laju infiltrasinya 1,69 cm jam-1 (agak lambat) dan kapasitas infiltrasinya 11,35 cm jam-1 (agak lambat). Mengalami peningkatan pada setiap jenis vegetasi yaitu pada vegetasi rambutan rata-rata laju infiltrasinya 2,13 cm jam-1 (sedang) dan kapasitas infiltrasinya 14,64 cm jam-1 (sedang), kemudian jabon rata-rata laju infiltrasinya 3,95 cm jam-1 (sedang) dan kapasitas infiltrasinya 36,2 cm jam-1 (sedang), dan vegetasi sengon rata-rata laju infiltrasinya 20,30 cm jam-1 (sangat cepat) dan kapasitas infiltrasinya 148,95 cm jam-1 (cepat). Coal mining can damage the hydrological function of the mining area. Former coal mine soil that undergoes compaction and also damage to physical properties will affect the hydrological function. The major influence will also have an impact on the infiltration and permeability of the former coal mine soil. Efforts to improve the characteristics of the former coal mine soil are through reclamation and revegetation. This study aims to examine the rate and capacity of soil infiltration of post-reclamation ex-coal mine soil in the reclamation area of PT. Nan Riang, Muara Tembesi District, Batanghari Regency, Jambi Province on inactive disposal land, sengon, jabon, and rambutan. This study uses a survey method and selection of representative areas using the Purposive Random Sampling method. Infiltration measurements are set once at each point and repeated 3 times at each land use, so that the number of measurement points is 12 points. Whole soil samples and disturbed soil at depths of 0-30 cm and 30-60 cm, repeated 3 times so that 24 samples were obtained. The data from laboratory analysis and field observations were then analyzed descriptively. The parameters observed were organic material content, texture, volume weight, total pore space, permeability, moisture content, and infiltration rate and capacity. The results showed that the quality of the rate and infiltration capacity increased in each type of vegetation when compared to the former coal mine land that had not been revegetated. In inactive disposal, the average infiltration rate is 1.69 cm h-1 (rather slow) and the infiltration capacity is 11.35 cm h-1 (rather slow). There was an increase in each type of vegetation, namely in rambutan vegetation the average infiltration rate was 2.13 cm hour-1 (moderate) and the infiltration capacity was 14.64 cm hour-1 (moderate), then jabon had an average infiltration rate of 3.95 cm hour-1 (moderate) and the infiltration capacity was 36.2 cm hour-1 (moderate), and sengon vegetation had an average infiltration rate of 20.30 cm hour-1 (very fast) and its infiltration capacity is 148.95 cm h-1 (fast).
