Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berjudul “Analisis Penggunaan Shopee PayLater Pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Dan Bisnis Universitas Jambi Perspektif Ekonomi Islam (Studi Kasus Pada Mahasiswa Angkatan 2020-2021)”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui, memahami dan menganalisis penggunaan aplikasi Shopee PayLater pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Jambi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan sekunder. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengguna Shopee PayLater dikalangan mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Jambi angkatan 2020-2021 untuk berbelanja cukup tinggi, karena Shopee PayLater menawarkan beberapa kemudahan, kemanfaatan dan maslahat bagi pengguna. Dampak dari penggunaan Shopee PayLater mahasiswa adalah peningkatan pengeluaran, utang yang tidak terkendali, stres jika pembayaran tidak tepat waktu dan dikenakan denda, dan pembelian yang berlebihan karena dorongan gaya hidup. Kebiasaan berutang dianggap bertentangan dengan prinsip-prinsip dasar ekonomi Islam. Tinjauan ekonomi Islam pada akad jual beli Shopee PayLater masih ada perbedaan antara para ulama mengenai hukumnya. Namun, pengenaan denda keterlambatan menggunakan Shopee PayLater termasuk kategori riba yang dilarang tegas oleh ajaran agama Islam. Kata Kunci: Shopee PayLater, Ekonomi Islam ABSTRACT This research is entitled "Analysis of the Use of Shopee PayLater among Students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Jambi University from an Islamic Economic Perspective (Case Study of Students Class of 2020-2021)". This research aims to find out, understand and analyze the use of the Shopee PayLater application among students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Jambi University. This research method uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The types of data used are primary and secondary data. Data collection methods use observation, interviews and documentation methods. The results of this research show that Shopee PayLater users among students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Jambi University class of 2020-2021 for shopping are quite high, because Shopee PayLater offers several conveniences, benefits and benefits for users. The impact of using Shopee PayLater for students is increased expenses, uncontrolled debt, stress if payments are not on time and are subject to fines, and excessive purchases due to lifestyle incentives. General customs are considered to be contrary to the basic principles of Islamic economics. Review of Islamic economics in Shopee PayLater buying and selling contracts, there are still differences between scholars regarding the law. However, the imposition of fines for late use of Shopee PayLater falls into the category of usury which is strictly prohibited by Islamic religious teachings.
