Abstract
ABSTRAK — Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi ekstrak daun bidara terhadap mutu sabun mandi padat dan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi ekstrak daun bidara yang tepat terhadap mutu sabun mandi padat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 taraf perlakuan konsentrasi ekstrak daun bidara (0 g, 1,5 g, 3 g, 4,5 g, 6 g) dan 4 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi ekstrak daun bidara berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap alkali bebas dan tekstur sabun mandi padat, berpengaruh nyata terhadap pH tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap zona hambat bakteri, kadar air dan stabilitas busa sabun mandi padat. Konsentrasi ekstrak daun bidara yang tepat terhadap mutu sabun mandi padat yaitu pada taraf perlakuan P5 (konsentrasi ekstrak daun bidara 6 g) dengan zona hambat bakteri 4,31 mm, kadar air 13,76%, alkali bebas 0,08%, pH 9,31, stabilitas busa 92,64% dan tekstur 6934,5 gf. Kata Kunci — Ekstrak daun bidara; mutu; sabun mandi padat ABSTRACT — This research aimed to determine the effect of bidara leaf extract concentration on the quality of solid bath soap and to determine the right concentration of bidara leaf extract to the quality of solid bath soap. This research used the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with 5 treatment levels of the concentration of bidara leaf extract (0 g, 1.5 g, 3 g, 4.5 g, 6 g) and 4 replications. The results showed that the concentration of bidara leaf extract had a very significant effect on alkali and texture of solid bath soap, had a significant effect on pH but had no significant effect on the zone of bacterial inhibition, moisture content and foam stability of solid bath soap. The right concentration of bidara leaf extract to the quality of solid bath soap is at the P5 treatment level (concentration of 6 g bidara leaf extract) with a bacterial inhibition zone of 4,31 mm, moisture content of 13,76%, 0,08% alkali content, pH 9,31, 92,64% foam stability and 6934,5 gf texture.
