Abstract

Latar Belakang : Merokok terus menjadi salah satu masalah kesehatan utama. Perilaku ini menimbulkan risiko terhadap kesehatan dunia dan dan dapat berakibat pada kematian bagi manusia. Proporsi kebiasaan merokok sehari-hari berdasarkan tingkat pendidikan, paling tinggi di sekolah menengah (SMA/SMK) dibandingkan semua kategori pendidikan lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan perilaku merokok remaja di SMK Negeri Kota Jambi Tahun 2023. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian metode kuantitatif dengan disain penelitian cross sectional. Jumlah populasi pada penelitian ini adalah 4.314 responden dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 255 responden. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih melalui Teknik Quota Sampling. Analisis yang dilakukan menggunakan analisis Univariat dan analisis Bivariat dengan menggunakan uji chi square. Hasil : Terdapat hubungan pengetahuan (p=0,047), sikap (p=0,000), keterjangkauan rokok (0,000), Perhatian keluarga (p=0,000), pengaruh teman sebaya (0,000) dengan perilaku merokok remaja. Kesimpulan : Ada hubungan pengetahuan, sikap, keterjangkauan rokok, Perhatian keluarga, dan pengaruh teman sebaya dengan perilaku merokok remaja di SMK Negeri Kota Jambi Tahun 2023. Kata Kunci : Remaja, perilaku merokok, pengetahuan, sikap. Background: Smoking continues to be one of the major health problems. This behaviour poses risks to global health and can result in human mortality. The proportion of daily smoking behaviour by education level is highest in secondary schools (SMA/SMK) compared to all other education categories. This study aims to determine the factors associated with adolescent smoking behaviour at SMK Negeri Jambi City in 2023. Method: This research is a type of quantitative research method with a cross sectional research design. The total population in this study was 4,314 respondents with a research sample of 255 respondents. The sample in this research was selected using the Quota Sampling Technique. The analysis was carried out using Univariate analysis and Bivariate analysis using the chi square test. Results: There is a relationship between knowledge (p=0.047), attitude (p=0.000), cigarette affordability (0.000), family support (p=0.000), peer support (0.000) with adolescent smoking behavior. Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge, attitudes, affordability of cigarettes, family support and peer support with adolescent smoking behavior in Jambi City State Vocational Schools in 2023.
