Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas permasalahan rasionalitas ekonomi pada mahasiswa, fokus pada pengambilan keputusan ekonomi mahasiswa. Seringkali mahasiswa dihadapkan pada dilema antara kebutuhan sehari-hari dan impulsi konsumtif. Faktor-faktor seperti pendapatan terbatas, tekanna sosial, dan kurangnya pemahaman tentang manajemen keuangan menjadi penentu dalam keputusan ekonomi mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh pendidikan ekonomi informal dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap rasionalitas ekonomi pada mahasiswa program sarjana jurusan PIPS Angkatan 2023 FKIP Universitas Jambi, secara parsial maupun simultan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Jurusan PIPS FKIP Universitas Jambi pada bulan Mei 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, dokumentasi dan angket. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu simple random sampling dengan total sampel sebanyak 170 responden. Setelah angket disebar melalui link google form, kemudian hasil angket berupa data dianalisis secara kuantitatif yaitu analisis deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji linearitas, uji multikolinearitas, uji heteroskedastisitas, analisis regresi berganda, uji parsial, uji simultan, dan koefisien determinan simultan. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh pendidikan ekonomi informal terhadap rasionalitas ekonomi. (2) terdapat pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap rasionalitas ekonomi. (3) terdapat pengaruh pendidikan ekonomi informal dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap rasionalitas ekonomi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa pendidikan ekonomi informal dan kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh terhadap rasionalitas ekonomi pada mahasiswa program sarjana jurusan PIPS Angkatan 2023 FKIP Universitas Jambi. Dapat dijelaskan apabila tingkat pendidikan ekonomi informal dan kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa tinggi, maka rasionalitas ekonomi mahasiswa juga akan meningkat. Sebaliknya jika tingkat pendidikan ekonomi informal dan kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa rendah, maka rasionalitas ekonomi mahasiswa juga akan menurun. Untuk meningkatkan rasionalitas ekonomi mahasiswa, diperlukan pendekatan yang holistik meliputi penguatan literasi finansial, pendidikan ekonomi informal, kecerdasan emosional, pelatihan praktis pengelolaan keuangan dan perilaku konsumen yang bijaksana. Saran ini diharapkan dapat memberikan landasan yang efektif untuk membantu mahasiswa mengambil keputusan ekonomi yang lebih cerdas dan bertanggung jawab. This research discusses the problem of economic rationality among students, focusing on student economic decision making. Often students are faced with dilemma between daily needs and consumerist impulses. Factors such as limited income, social pressure, and lack of understanding of management finances become a determinant in their economic decisions. The aim of this study to find out whether there is an influence of informal economic education and intelligence emotional towards economic rationality in undergraduate students majoring in PIPS Class of 2023 FKIP Jambi University, partially or simultaneously. This research was conducted at the PIPS Department, FKIP, Jambi University in May 2024. This research uses observation, documentation and questionnaire data collection techniques. The sampling technique is simple random sampling with a total sample size 170 respondents. After the questionnaire is distributed via the Google Form link, then the questionnaire results in the form of data analyzed quantitatively, namely descriptive analysis, normality test, test linearity, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, multiple regression analysis, test partial, simultaneous test, and simultaneous determinant coefficient. Based on the results obtained, it shows that: (1) there is an influence of education informal economy towards economic rationality. (2) there is the influence of intelligence emotional versus economic rationality. (3) there is the influence of economic education informality and emotional intelligence towards economic rationality. Based on the research results, it was concluded that informal economic education and Emotional intelligence influences economic rationality in students undergraduate program majoring in PIPS Class of 2023 FKIP Jambi University. Can be explained if the level of informal economic education and emotional intelligence of students is high, then students' economic rationality will also increase. On the other hand, if level informal economic education and low student emotional intelligence, then Students' economic rationality will also decrease. To increase rationality student economics, a holistic approach is needed including strengthening literacy financial, informal economic education, emotional intelligence, practical training financial management and wise consumer behavior. It is hoped that this suggestion will work provide an effective basis for helping students make decisions a smarter and more responsible economy.
