Abstract

Latar Belakang : Daun mangga (Mangifera indica L.) memiliki efek farmakologis seperti antioksidan, antibakteri, antidiabetes dan antiinflamasi. Daun mangga memiliki beberapa metabolit sekunder seperti fenol dan flavonoid. Senyawa tersebut diduga mampu memberikan efektivitas dalam melindungi kulit dari paparan sinar UV. Metode : Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental dengan 4 kelompok perlakuan terdiri dari kontrol normal, Kontrol abnormal, perlakuan 1 dengan pemberian infusa dan perlakuan 2 dengan pemberian fermentasi SCOBY. Pengujian yang dilakukan yaitu pengujian kadar fenol total, flavonoid total, profil senyawa, penentuan nilai spf secara in vitro dan in vivo serta pengujian histologi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji independent T-test. Hasil : Hasil yang didapat pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa infusa daun mangga dan fermentasi SCOBY daun mangga yang dilakukan secara in vitro maupun in vivo memiliki potensi sebagai tabir surya dalam melindungi kulit dari terjadinya eritema, edema dan pigmentasi akibat paparan sinar UV. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa infusa daun mangga dan fermentasi SCOBY daun mangga memiliki aktivitas sebagai antioksidan. Kesimpulan : Fermentasi SCOBY infusa daun mangga memiliki potensi sebagai SPF (Sun Protector Factor). Kata kunci : Daun mangga, Fermentasi , Histologi, Mencit, SCOBY, SPF, Spektrofotometri. ABSTRACT Background: Mango leaves (Mangifera indica L.) have pharmacological effects such as antioxidant, antibacterial, antidiabetic and anti-inflammatory. Mango leaves have several secondary metabolites such as phenols and flavonoids. These compounds are thought to be able to provide effectiveness in protecting the skin from UV exposure. Methods: The method used in this study is experimental with 4 treatment groups consisting of positive control, negative control, treatment 1 with infusion and treatment 2 with SCOBY fermentation. The tests carried out were testing total phenol content, total flavonoids, compound profiles, determining spf values in vitro and in vivo and histological testing. Data analysis was done with independent T-test. Results: The results obtained in this study indicate that mango leaf infusa and SCOBY fermentation of mango leaves carried out in vitro and in vivo have the potential as a sunscreen in protecting the skin from erythema, edema and pigmentation due to UV exposure. These results indicate that mango leaf infusa and mango leaf SCOBY fermentation have antioxidant activity. Conclusion: SCOBY fermentation of mango leaf infusa has potential as SPF (Sun Protector Factor). Keywords: Mango leaf, Fermentation, Histology, Mice, SCOBY, SPF, Spectrophotometry.
