Abstract

Skripsi ini membahas tentang Tinggalan Struktur dan Bangunan Kolonial yang ada di kawasan Kota Tua Tebo. Wilayah ini adalah wilayah yang penting dalam sejarah Jambi dari masa Kesultanan hingga Kolonial. Selain itu, skripsi ini juga membahas mengenai potensi pemanfaatan kawasan Kota Tua Tebo sebagai Museum Terbuka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kondisi struktur dan bangunan di Kawasan Kota Tua Tebo serta mengetahui potensi pemanfaatan sebagai Museum Terbuka. Metode penelitian pada tulisan ini meggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan penelitian kualitatif. Langkah metode penelitian ini meliputi pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder, analisis, eksplanasi, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kawasan Kota Tua Tebo memiliki berbagai bangunan dan struktur yang dibangun pada masa Kolonial. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Tebo pernah menjadi pusat ekonomi dan pusat pemerintahan afdeeling Tebo di masa Kolonial. Selain itu, keberadaan tinggalan struktur dan bangunan Kolonialdi Kota Tua Tebo memenuhi sebagian persyaratan ICOM untuk dijadikan sebagai Museum Terbuka. Oleh sebab itu, perlu perencanaan dan pengelolaan yang baik dari pemangku kebijakan agar semua syarat museum terbuka terpenuhi, dan kawasan Kota Tua Tebo bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai Museum Terbuka di masa mendatang. This thesis discusses the remains of colonial structures and buildings in the Tebo Old Town area. This area is an important area in the history of Jambi from the Sultanate to the Colonial period. Apart from that, this thesis also discusses the potential for using the Tebo Old Town area as an open-air museum. This research aims to find out the condition of the structures and buildings in the Tebo Old Town area and to find out the potential for use as an open museum. The research method in this paper uses a qualitative descriptive approach with qualitative research. The steps of this research method include primary and secondary data collection, analysis, explanation and conclusions. The results of this research show that the Tebo Old City area has various buildings and structures built during the Colonial period. This shows that Tebo was once the economic center and center of the Tebo afdeeling government during the Colonial period. Apart from that, the existence of remains of colonial structures and buildings in the Old City of Tebo fulfills some of ICOM's requirements to be used as an open-air museum. Therefore, good planning and management is needed from policy makers so that all the requirements for an open museum are met, and the Tebo Old Town area can be used as an open museum in the future.
