Abstract

Penggerek buah kopi (Hypothenemus hampei Ferr.) merupakan hama utama yang menyerang tanaman kopi di Indonesia. Hampir semua varietas kopi terserang hama ini dengan persentase serangan yang bervariasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas jenis perangkap atraktan dalam menurunkan populasi dan persentase serangan H. hampei pada tanaman kopi Liberika Tungkal Komposit di Desa Mekar Jaya Kecamatan Betara Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat Provinsi Jambi. Penelitian dilakukan di perkebunan kopi milik petani di Desa Mekar Jaya Kecamatan Betara Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat Provinsi Jambi. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari bulan Januari sampai bulan Februari 2024. Terdapat dua petak perlakuan pada penelitian ini yakni petak A (tanaman kopi dengan penggunaan perangkap atraktan berwarna putih (Hypotan 500 SL)) dan petak B (tanaman kopi dengan penggunaan perangkap atraktan berwarna merah (Koptan 500 L)). Pola lajur tanaman yang digunakan pada setiap petak perlakuan yakni pola diagonal. Luas setiap petak perlakuan yakni 135 m × 36 m dengan populasi tanaman kopi sebanyak ± 200 tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkap atraktan berwarna merah (Koptan) lebih efektif menurunkan persentase serangan H. hampei pada pertanaman kopi Varietas Liberika Tungkal Komposit di Desa Mekar Jaya. Kata kunci : tanaman kopi, Hypothenemus hampei, perangkap atraktan The coffee berry borer (Hypothenemus hampei Ferr.) is the main pest that attacks coffee plants in Indonesia. Almost all coffee varieties are attacked by this pest with varying attack percentages. This research aims to examine the effectiveness of attractant trap types in reducing the population and percentage of H. hampei attacks on Liberika Tungkal Composite coffee plants in Mekar Jaya Village, Betara District, West Tanjung Jabung Regency, Jambi Province. The research was conducted on coffee plantations owned by farmers in Mekar Jaya Village, Betara District, West Tanjung Jabung Regency, Jambi Province. The research was carried out from January to February 2024. There were two treatment plots in this study, namely plot A (coffee plants using white attractant traps (Hypotan 500 SL)) and plot B (coffee plants using red attractant traps (Koptan 500 L)). The plant strip pattern used in each treatment plot is a diagonal pattern. The area of ​​each treatment plot is 135 m × 36 m with a coffee plant population of ± 200 plants. The results of the research showed that red attractant traps (Koptan) were more effective in reducing the percentage of H. hampei attacks on the Liberika Tungkal Composite variety coffee plantations in Mekar Jaya Village.
