Abstract

ABSTRAK Ultisol tergolong lahan marginal dengan tingkat produktivitas rendah, Ultisol tersebar pada permukaan berlereng serta memiliki susunan olah yang tipis dengan sifat fisika yang kurang baik, sehingga mudah tererosi. Usaha yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas tanah seperti ketersediaan unsur hara yaitu dengan menambahkan bahan organik atau bahan pembenah tanah (soil conditioner) seperti kompos. Bahan organik yang berpotensi dijadikan bahan baku dalam pembuatan kompos yaitu Sludge atau Lumpur Aktif limbah hasil pengolahan Kelapa Sawit yang diperkaya Abu Boiler. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Teaching and Research Farm Fakultas Petanian Universitas Jambi. K0 = tanpa perlakuan (kontrol), K1 = 5 ton/ha kompos Sludge diperkaya Abu Boiler, K2 = 10 ton/ha kompos Sludge diperkaya Abu Boiler, K3 = 15 ton/ha kompos Sludge diperkaya Abu Boiler, K4 = 20 ton/ha kompos Sludeg diperkaya Abu Boiler. Hasil penelitian pemberian kompos Sludge yang diperkaya Abu Boiler Belum mampu meningkatkan C-organik, TRP, dan belum mampu menurunkan Bobot Volume tanah, serta belum mampu mempengaruhi Persen Agregat dan Kemantapan Agregat Tanah. Sedangkan terhadap tanaman pemberian perlakuan kompos Sludge yang diperkaya Abu Boiler belum mampu meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, berpengaruh terhadap produksi polong isi pertanaman, dan hasil tanaman kedelai. Kata kunci: Ultisol, kompos, kemantapan agregat tanah, kedelai. ABSTRACT Ultisol is classified as marginal land with a low level of productivity. Ultisol is spread on sloping surfaces and has a thin tilled structure with poor physical properties, so it is easily eroded. Efforts that can be made to increase soil productivity, such as the availability of nutrients, are by adding organic material or soil conditioner such as compost. Organic material that has the potential to be used as raw material for making compost is sludge or activated sludge from palm oil processing waste enriched with boiler ash. This research was carried out at the Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Jambi University. K0 = no treatment (control), K1 = 5 tonnes/ha of Sludge compost enriched with Boiler Ash, K2 = 10 tonnes/ha of Sludge compost enriched with Boiler Ash, K3 = 15 tonnes/ha of Sludge compost enriched with Boiler Ash, K4 = 20 tonnes/ha Sludeg compost is enriched with Boiler Ash. The results of research on providing Sludge compost enriched with Boiler Ash have not been able to increase C-organics, TRP, and have not been able to reduce the Volume Weight of the soil, and have not been able to influence the Aggregate Percentage and Soil Aggregate Stability. Meanwhile, for plants treated with Sludge compost enriched with Boiler Ash, it was not able to increase plant height, had an effect on the production of filled pods and soybean yields.
