Kata Kunci: Kegiatan Candle Painting, Perkembangan Motorik Halus Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan hasil pengamatan peneliti dilapangan yang menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan motorik halus anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Al-Qur’an Jauharul Wathon Muaro Jambi masih belum berkembang secara optimal. Hal ini dibuktikan pada saat observasi dikelas A1 terdapat sebagian besar anak masih kesulitan dalam membuat garis lengkung dan lingkaran, anak kesulitan menjiplak bentuk dari media, anak kesulitan untuk fokus mengontrol antara mata dan tangannya dalam melakukan kegiatan dan anak kesulitan menggunakan berbagai media untuk berkarya seni dan kegiatan untuk mengembangakan kemampuan motorik halus anak dikelas tersebut kurang bervariasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kegiatan candle painting terhadap perkembangan motorik halus anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Al-Qur’an Jauharul Wathon Muaro Jambi. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah “apakah terdapat pengaruh kegiatan candle painting terhadap perkembangan motorik halus anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Al-Qur’an Jauharul Wathon Muaro Jambi?”. Hipotesis penelitian ini yakni terdapat pengaruh kegiatan candle painting terhadap perkembangan motorik halus anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Al-Qur’an Jauharul Wathon Muaro Jambi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Pre-Eksperimental Design dengan bentuk One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 29 anak dan sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 15 anak. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan pembahasan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya pengaruh kegiatan candle painting terhadap perkembangan motorik halus anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Al-Qur’an Jauharul Wathon Muaro Jambi. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan pengujian hipotesis uji t bahwa t hitung (52,316) > t tabel (2,145) maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dari perhitungan effect size dengan menggunakan rumus cohen’s terdapat hasil sebesar 7,11 yang artinya besarnya pengaruh pada kegiatan candle painting terhadap perkembangan motorik halus anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Al-Qur’an Jauharul wathon Muaro Jambi yang berada pada rentang >1 dengan interpretasi kuat (Strong effect). Keywords: Wax Painting Activities, Fine Motor Skills Development This research is motivated by the results of researcher observations in the field which show that the development of fine motor skills of 4-5 year old children at Al-Qur'an Jauharul Wathon Kindergarten, Muaro Jambi has not yet developed optimally. This is proven during the observation in class A1, most children still have difficulty in making curved lines and circles, children have difficulty tracing shapes from media, children have difficulty focusing on controlling between the eyes and hands in doing activities and children have difficulty using various media to create art and activities to develop children's fine motor skills in the class are less varied. This study aims to determine the effect of wax painting activities on the development of fine motor skills of children aged 4-5 years at Al-Qur'an Jauharul Wathon Kindergarten Muaro Jambi. The formulation of the problem in this study is "is there an effect of wax painting activities on the development of fine motor skills of children aged 4-5 years at Al-Qur'an Jauharul Wathon Kindergarten Muaro Jambi?". The hypothesis of this study is that there is an effect of wax painting activities on the development of fine motor skills of children aged 4-5 years at Al-Qur'an Jauharul Wathon Kindergarten Muaro Jambi. This type of research is quantitative with an experimental method. The design used in this study is Pre-Experimental Design with the form of One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The population in this study amounted to 29 children and the sample in this study amounted to 15 children. The sampling technique used in this study was an observation sheet. The data analysis technique used in this study was a normality test, a homogeneity test and a hypothesis test. Based on the discussion of the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an influence of candle painting activities on the development of fine motor skills of children aged 4-5 years at TK Al-Qur'an Jauharul Wathon Muaro Jambi. This is evidenced by testing the t-test hypothesis that t count (52.316)> t table (2.145) then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. From the calculation of the effect size using the Cohen's formula, there is a result of 7.11 which means that the magnitude of the influence of candle painting activities on the development of fine motor skills of children aged 4-5 years at TK Al-Qur'an Jauharul Wathon Muaro Jambi is at a distance of> 1 with a strong interpretation (Strong effect).
