Abstract
ABSTRAK Terung ungu (Solanum melongena L.) merupakan jenis sayuran semusim. Produktivitas terung di Provinsi Jambi masih berada di bawah nasional, dan berada jauh di bawah potensi produksi Varietas Yuvita F1. Sehingga Provinsi Jambi memiliki peluang dalam meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman terung. Salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya produktivitas terung di Provinsi Jambi adalah kesuburan tanah, karena tanah di Provinsi Jambi didominasi oleh jenis tanah ultisol. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah melalui pemupukan, baik dengan pupuk anorganik maupun organik. Penggunaan pupuk anorganik yang tidak bijaksana dapat menimbulkan masalah bagi tanaman. Pupuk organik merupakan alternatif yang tepat untuk memperbaiki, meningkatkan, dan mempertahankan kualitas tanah. Salah satu pupuk organik yang dapat dijadikan alternatif yaitu eco-enzyme yang diperkaya dengan penambahan cangkang telur, limbah air beras, dan bonggol pisang (eco-enzyme cangrasang). Penelitian ini bertujuan mempelajari respon tanaman terung ungu (Solanum melongena L.) terhadap pemberian eco-enzyme cangrasang dan mendapatkan konsentrasi eco-enzyme cangrasang yang dapat memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil terbaik pada tanaman terung ungu (Solanum melongena L.). Percobaan ini dilaksanakan di Teaching and Research Farm Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi mulai dari tanggal 21 Desember 2023 hingga 29 Mei 2024. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), dengan 5 taraf perlakuan pada konsentrasi eco-enzyme cangrasang yaitu, P0= 0%, P1=2,5%, P2= 5%, P3= 7,5%, dan P4=10%. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 5 kali, sehingga terdapat sebanyak 25 satuan percobaan. Setiap satuan percobaan terdiri dari 12 tanaman, dan dari 12 tanaman dalam setiap satuan percobaan diambil 3 tanaman sampel. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan sidik ragam (ANOVA), dan untuk melihat perbedaan antar perlakuan menggunakan DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) pada taraf ∝ = 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) tanaman terung ungu varietas Yuvita F1 memberikan respon terhadap pemberian eco-enzyme cangrasang melalui variabel tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang, hari muncul bunga, jumlah buah per tanaman, bobot buah per tanaman, dan bobot buah per buah, dan 2) aplikasi eco-enzyme cangrasang dengan konsentrasi 5% memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang, hari munculnya bunga, jumlah buah per tanaman, serta mampu meningkatkan 69,5 % bobot buah per tanaman dan 31% bobot per buah. Kata Kunci: Tanaman Terung Ungu, Eco-Enzyme Cangrasang ABSTRACT Purple eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is a type of seasonal vegetable. Eggplant productivity in Jambi Province is still below the national level, and far below the production potential of Yuvita F1 variety. So that Jambi Province has an opportunity to increase the productivity of eggplant plants. One of the factors that cause the low productivity of eggplant in Jambi Province is soil fertility, because the soil in Jambi Province is dominated by ultisol soil types. Efforts that can be made to overcome this problem are through fertilization, both with inorganic and organic fertilizers. The unwise use of inorganic fertilizers can cause problems for plants. Organic fertilizers are the right alternative to improve, enhance, and maintain soil quality. One of the organic fertilizers that can be used as an alternative is eco-enzyme enriched with the addition of eggshells, rice water waste, and banana stump (eco-enzyme cangrasang). This research aims to study the response of purple eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) to the application of eco-enzyme cangrasang and get the concentration of eco-enzyme cangrasang that can provide the best growth and yield on purple eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). This experiment was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Jambi University from December 21, 2023 to May 29, 2024. The design used was Randomized Group Design (RAK), with 5 levels of treatment on the concentration of cangrasang eco-enzyme, namely, P0 = 0%, P1 = 2.5%, P2 = 5%, P3 = 7.5%, and P4 = 10%. Each treatment was repeated 5 times, so there were 25 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 12 plants, and from 12 plants in each experimental unit, 3 sample plants were taken. The data obtained were analyzed using variance analysis (ANOVA), and to see differences between treatments using DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) at the level of ∝ = 5%. The results showed that 1) the purple eggplant variety Yuvita F1 responded to the application of cangrasang eco-enzyme through the variables of plant height, number of branches, days to appear flowers, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, and fruit weight per fruit, and 2) the application of cangrasang eco-enzyme with a concentration of 5% gave the best results on plant height, number of branches, days to appear flowers, number of fruits per plant, and was able to increase 69.5% fruit weight per plant and 31% weight per fruit.
