Abstract
Ayam ras pedaging memiliki beberapa keunggulan diantaranya dapat dipanen dibawah umur 5 minggu karena pertumbuhannya relatif cepat juga memiliki rata-rata bobot badan sekitar 1,5 kg. Ayam broiler dirancang untuk mencapai tingkat pertumbuhan yang tinggi dalam waktu yang relatif singkat. Jagung dan dedak merupakan bahan pakan yang sering digunakan sebagai bahan penyusun ransum, namun perlu dilakukan peningkatan kualitas gizi guna meningkatkan kecernaan pada ternak. Peningkatan kualitas gizi jagung dan dedak dapat dilakukan dengan bantuan teknologi fermentasi menggunakan EM 4. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bobot organ pencernaan ayam broiler yang diberi jagung dan dedak padi yang difermentasi dengan Effective Microorganisms 4. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Budidaya Ternak dan Hijauan Pakan Fakultas Peternakan dan Laboratorium Dasar dan Terpadu Universitas Jambi. Penelitian menggunakan 160 ekor DOC strain CP 707 yang didapatkan dari PT. Charoen Pokhpand Indonesia, dirancang menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan yaitu P0 (pakan yang mengandung 70% jagung dedak non fermentasi), P1 (Pakan yang mengandung 65% jagung dedak fermentasi), P2 (pakan yang mengandung 70% jagung dedak fermentasi, P3 (pakan yang mengandung 75% jagung dedak fermentasi). Peubah yang diamati yaitu konsumsi ransum, bobot potong, dan bobot relatif organ pencernaan ayam broiler. Data yang diperoleh dihitung dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam. Perlakuan yang berpengaruh nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian jagung dan dedak fermentasi nyata (P<0,05) meningkatkan konsumsi ransum, bobot potong, dan bobot relatif pankreas dibandingkan dengan pemberian jagung dan dedak tanpa fermentasi, tetapi berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap bobot relatif ventrikulus, hati dan usus halus ayam broiler. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan jagung dan dedak yang difermentasi dengan Effective Microorganisms 4 dalam ransum sampai level 65% dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan konsumsi ransum dan bobot potong tanpa mengganggu bobot relatif organ pencernaan ayam broiler. Broiler breeds have several advantages, including that they can be harvested under 5 weeks of age because they grow relatively quickly and also have an average body weight of around 1.5 kg. Broiler chickens are designed to achieve high growth rates in a relatively short time. Corn and bran are feed ingredients that are often used as ingredients in rations, but nutritional quality needs to be improved to increase digestibility in livestock. Improving the nutritional quality of corn and bran can be done with the help of fermentation technology using EM 4. This research aims to determine the weight of the digestive organs of broiler chickens given corn and rice bran fermented with Effective Microorganisms 4. This research was carried out at the Animal Cultivation and Forage Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and the Basic and Integrated Laboratory, Jambi University. The research used 160 DOC strains CP 707 obtained from PT. Charoen Pokhpand Indonesia, designed using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications, namely P0 (feed containing 70% non-fermented corn bran), P1 (Feed containing 65% fermented corn bran), P2 (feed containing 70 % fermented corn bran, P3 (feed containing 75% fermented corn bran). The variables observed were feed consumption, slaughter weight, and relative weight of broiler chickens' digestive organs. The data obtained were calculated and analyzed using analysis of variance with Duncan's multiple range test. The results showed that giving fermented corn and bran significantly (P<0.05) increased feed consumption, slaughter weight, and relative pancreatic weight compared to giving corn and bran without fermentation, but had no significant effect (P>0.05) on weight. relative to the ventricle, liver and small intestine of broiler chickens. From the results of this research it can be concluded that the use of corn and bran fermented with Effective Microorganisms 4 in rations up to a level of 65% can be used to increase ration consumption and slaughter weight without disturbing the relative weight of the digestive organs of broiler chickens.
