Abstract
Okra plants are a type of flowering plant that belongs to the Malvaceae family (cotton-cotton) Okra fruit is usually used as a vegetable and processed into various dishes. The composition of fruit okra per 100 g contains 1.2% water, 2% protein, 1.2% fat, 8% carbohydrates, 1.7% and 0.2% fiber, and ash content. Okra production is currently still fluctuating and has not been able to meet the national demand for okra vegetables. Thisisbecause okraplantsarenotknown as a wholebythe Indonesianpeopleandstilldo notknowtherightcultivationtechniquesforokra plant, so that the dataonthe harvest area,production,andproductivity of okraplantshave notbeen well documented by the Central Statistics Agency of the Republic of Indonesia. One of the efforts to increase good okra productivityrequires efforts to improve cultivation techniques, includingfertilizingusingorganic matter. The type of organic matter used and able to increasethe productivity ofsoilandplantsisbokashi. This research was carried out by Teaching and Research, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi, startingfromSeptember toDecember2022. The design used in this study was prepared ina group randomdesign(RAK)withonefactor, namelythe application offertilizerBeef bokashi. Treatment carried out p0=Without bokashi, p1=10tonha-1bokashi, p2 = 20 tonha-1bokashi, p3 = 30 tonha-1bokashi, p4=40tonha-1 bokashi. The variables observed were plant height (cm), stem diameter (mm), number of leaves (strands), flowering age (days), fruit weight per fruit (grams), fruit length (cm), fruit diameter (mm), number of fruits per plant (fruit), and fruit weight per plant (grm). The results of the analysis showed that the application of bokashi cow fertilizer was able toincrease the growth of green okra plants as indicated bythe variable plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, flowering age, fruit weight per fruit, fruit length, fruit diameter, number of fruits per plant, and fruit weight per plant. The dosage of bovine bokashi fertilizer is 40tonsha-1 It is the best dose that is able toincreasethehighestgrowthingreen okra plants.
