Abstract

Kakao (Theobroma cacao L.) merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan strategis perkebunan yang memegang peranan penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia sehingga perlu dikembangkan. Upaya peningkatan produksi dan produktivitas kakao terus dilakukan diantaranya dengan peremajaan tanaman. Dalam peremajaan tanaman perkebunan kakao diperlukan ketersediaan bibit yang unggul serta berkualitas dalam jumlah yang cukup. Upaya peremajaan pengadaan bibit dilakukan dengan penggantian tanaman yang tidak produktif (TTM/TR) yang akan diremajakan sehingga pembibitan perlu dilakukan untuk ketersediaan bibit kakao yang siap tanam. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mempelajari Respons Pertumbuhan Bibit Kakao klon ICCRI 08H (Theobroma cacao L.) terhadap Pemberian Pupuk Kompos Kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata) di Polybag. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Teaching and Research Farm Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi. Waktu yang dibutuhkan dalam penelitian ini yaitu 5 bulan dari bulan Februari sampai dengan Juni 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 5 perlakuan yaitu k0 : 0g/polybag, k1 : 50 g/polybag, k2 : 75 g/polybag, k3 : 100 g/polybag, k4 : 125 g/polybag. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kali sehingga terdapat 20 petak percobaan. Setiap percobaan terdiri dari 3 tanaman dengan 2 tanaman sampel, sehingga terdapat 40 tanaman sampel. Data dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan Anova dan jika berpengaruh nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT pada taraf α = 5 %. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa pemberian pupuk kompos kirinyuh berpengaruh nyata pada variabel tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, luas daun total, bobot kering tajuk dan rasio tajuk akar. Dan dosis 100 g menunjukkan dosis terbaik pada pembibitan kakao. Kata Kunci : Tanaman Kakao, Kompos, Kirinyuh, dan Klon Cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) is one of the strategic leading plantation commodities that plays an important role in Indonesia's economy, and thus, needs to be developed. Efforts to increase cocoa production and productivity continue to be carried out, including through plant rejuvenation. In cocoa plantation rejuvenation, the availability of superior and high-quality seedlings in sufficient quantities is required. The effort to procure rejuvenation seedlings is done by replacing unproductive plants (TTM/TR) that will be rejuvenated, so seedling production needs to be conducted to ensure the availability of ready-to-plant cocoa seedlings. The aim of this study is to examine the Growth Response of Cocoa Seedlings of clone ICCRI 08H (Theobroma cacao L.) to the Application of Kirinyuh Compost Fertilizer (Chromolaena odorata) in Polybags. This research was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, Jambi University. The time required for this research is 5 months, from February to June 2024. This study used a Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments: k0: 0g/polybag, k1: 50g/polybag, k2: 75g/polybag, k3: 100g/polybag, k4: 125g/polybag. Each treatment was repeated 4 times, resulting in 20 experimental plots. Each experiment consisted of 3 plants with 2 sample plants, so there were 40 sample plants. The data were statistically analyzed using ANOVA, and if significantly affected, it was followed by LSD test at α = 5%. The results concluded that the application of kirinyuh compost fertilizer had a significant effect on variables such as plant height, stem diameter, total leaf area, dry shoot weight, and shoot-root ratio.
