Maraknya penggunaan second account dikalangan mahasiswa terjadi karena berbagai alasan, salah satunya adalah ketidakmampuan individu dalam menerima diri sendiri seutuhnya pada akun utama. Penerimaan diri dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, seperti dukungan sosial, pengalaman hidup, dan interaksi dengan lingkungan. Dukungan sosial yang kurang memadai, mendorong individu menggunakan second account agar lebih bebas mengekspresikan diri dan merasa nyaman terhadap dirinya sendiri. TUJUAN Untuk menganalisis pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap penerimaan diri mahasiswa di Kota Jambi pengguna second account media sosial Instagram. METODE Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif jenis korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa di Kota Jambi pengguna second account Instagram. Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 146 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik snowball sampling. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah skala dukungan sosial dan penerimaan diri. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji analisis regresi linier sederhana menggunakan SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution). HASIL Berdasarkan hasil regresi linier sederhana, variabel dukungan sosial berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap variabel penerimaan diri dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < nilai alpha 0,05 dan nilai t hitung 4,155 > t tabel 1,979. Hasil analisis memperoleh nilai R square sebesar 0,121, artinya pengaruh positif antara dukungan sosial terhadap penerimaan diri sebesar 12,1%. KESIMPULAN Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diterima. Artinya, terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara dukungan sosial dengan penerimaan diri mahasiswa di Kota Jambi pengguna second account media sosial Instagram. The widespread use of second accounts among students occurs for various reasons, including the individual's inability to accept themselves entirely on the main account. Several factors, such as social support, life experiences, and environmental interactions, influence self-acceptance. Inadequate social support encourages individuals to use second accounts to express themselves more freely and comfortably. OBJECTIVE To analyse the influence of social support on students' self-acceptance in Jambi City who use second Instagram social media accounts. METHOD This research uses a correlational quantitative approach. The population in this study consisted of students in Jambi City who had second Instagram accounts. The subjects of this research were 146 respondents who were selected using the snowball sampling technique. The data collection tool used was the social support and self-acceptance scale. The data obtained was analyzed using a simple linear regression test using SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution). RESULTS Based on the results of simple linear analysis. The social support variable significantly affects the self-acceptance variable for students in Jambi City who use second Instagram accounts with a significance value of 0.000 < alpha value 0.05 and a calculated t value of 4.155 > t table 1.979. The analysis results obtained an R square value of 0.121. The positive influence of social support on self-acceptance was 12.1%. CONCLUSION The hypothesis in this research is accepted. This means there is a positive and significant influence between social support and self-acceptance of students in Jambi City who use second Instagram social media accounts.
