Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) Untuk mengetahui perilaku petani dalam berusahatani cabai merah dikecamatan Kumpeh. 2) Untuk mengetahui produktivitas usahatani cabai merah yang dihasilkan petani di Kecamatan Kumpeh. 3) Untuk menganalisis hubungan perilaku petani dengan produktivitas usahatani cabai merah di Kecamtan Kumpeh. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juni sampai Agustus 2024, di Desa Maju Jaya dan Desa Mekar Sari Kecamatan Kumpeh Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Teknik penarikan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik random sampling (sampel acak) yang dimana dalam penentuan sampel mengambil 4 kelompok tani dari Desa Maju Jaya dan 4 kelompok tani dari Desa Mekar Sari sehingga diporoleh sebanyak 77 petani digunakan sebagai sampel Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis Uji Chi-square. Dari hasil uraian analisis dan pembahasan maka dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut. 1) Bahwa perilaku petani dalam berusahatani cabai merah di Kecamatan Kumpeh Kabupaten Muaro Jambi positif. 2) Produktivitas usahatani cabai merah di Kecamatan Kumpeh Kabupaten Muaro Jambi tergolong tinggi dengan presentase 77%. 3) Berdasarkan hasil uji Chi-Square diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat keeratan hubungan yang positif dan nyata antara perilaku petani dengan produktivitas usahatani cabai merah di Kecamatan Kumpeh Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Kata Kunci: Perilaku, Produktivitas, Usahatani, Cabai Merah ABSTRACT The objectives of this research are 1) To determine the behavior of farmers in cultivating red chilies in Kumpeh sub-district. 2) To determine the productivity of red chili farming produced by farmers in Kumpeh District. 3) To analyze the relationship between farmer behavior and red chili farming productivity in Kumpeh District. This research was conducted from June to August 2024, in Maju Jaya Village and Mekar Sari Village, Kumpeh District, Muaro Jambi Regency. The sampling technique in this study used a random sampling technique, where in determining the sample, 4 groups of farmers from Maju Jaya Village and 4 groups of farmers from Mekar Sari Village were selected so that 77 farmers were used as samples. The analytical method used was descriptive analysis. and Chi-square test analysis. From the results of the analysis and discussion description, it can be concluded as follows. 1) That the behavior of farmers in cultivating red chilies in Kumpeh District, Muaro Jambi Regency is positive. 2) The productivity of red chili farming in Kumpeh District, Muaro Jambi Regency is relatively high with a percentage of 77%. 3) Based on the results of the Chi-Square test, it was found that there was a positive and real relationship between farmer behavior and red chili farming productivity in Kumpeh District, Muaro Jambi Regency.
