Abstract

Ubi jalar (Ipomoe Batatas) adalah tanaman pangan penting dengan nilai gizi tinggi. Namun, produktivitasnya terhambat oleh serangan hama. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan ubi jalar milik petani yang berlokasi di 2 Desa yaitu Desa Kersik Tuo dengan ukuran lokasi 120 m x 60 m. Batang sangir (B) ukuran lokasi 100 m x 80 m dimulai pada bulan Februari hingga April 2024. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi jenis dan kelimpahan arthropoda hama dan predator pada budidaya ubi jalar di dua desa, Kersik Tuo dan Batang Sangir yang merupakan sentra pertanian di Kabupaten Kerinci, Provinsi Jambi. Variabel pengamatan meliputi jenis dan kelimpahan arthropoda hama dan predator, intensitas serangan pada daun dan persentase daun terserang. Analisis data dilakukan untuk menentukan keanekaragaman dankemerataan jenis arthropoda menggunakan indeks keanekaragaman Shannon-Wiener dan indeks kemerataan.Pengambilan sampel dilakukan sebanyak 3 kali (21, 23 dan 25 mst) menggunakan alat perangkap jaring ayun dan pengamatan langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di Desa Kersik Tuo ditemukan 3 ordo, 6 famili, dan 11 spesies, sedangkan di Desa Batang Sangir terdapat 4 ordo, 7 famili, dan 12 spesies. Predator yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah Mimegralla coeruleifrons dari famili Micropezidae.Hasil analisis menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan dalam persentase daunterserang dan intensitas serangan antara kedua lokasi penelitian. Indeks keanekaragaman dan kemerataan menunjukkan struktur komunitas yang mirip di kedua lokasi, diduga karena kesamaan vegetasi sekitar. Sweet potato (Ipomoe Batatas) is an important food crop with high nutritional value. However, its productivity is hampered by pest attacks. This study was conducted in sweet potato fields owned by farmers located in 2 villages, namely Kersik Tuo Village with a location size of 120 m x 60 m. Batang Sangir (B) location size 100 m x 80 m starting from February to April 2024. This study aims to explore the types and abundance of arthropod pests and predators in sweet potato cultivation in two villages, Kersik Tuo and Batang Sangir which are agricultural centers in Kerinci Regency, Jambi Province. Observation variables include the types and abundance of arthropod pests and predators, the intensity of attacks on leaves and the percentage of leaves attacked. Data analysis was carried out to determine the diversity and evenness of arthropod types using the Shannon-Wiener diversity index and evenness index. Sampling was carried out 3 times (21, 23 and 25 mst) using swing net traps and direct observation. The results showed that in Kersik Tuo Village, 3 orders, 6 families, and 11 species were found, while in Batang Sangir Village, 4 orders, 7 families, and 12 species were found. The most common predator found was Mimegralla coeruleifrons from the Micropezidae family. The results of the analysis showed that there was no significant difference in the percentage of leaves attacked and the intensity of attacks between the two research locations. The diversity and evenness indices showed similar community structures in both locations, presumably due to the similarity of the surrounding vegetation.
