Abstract

Sengon laut (Paraserianthes falcataria (L.) Nielsen) is one of the leading commodities in Industrial Plantation Forests (HTI) because of its rapid growth, easy adaptation and does not require fertile land conditions, and also has high economic value, especially in the development of industry and infrastructure. The ratio of living plants to total plants is used to calculate the percentage of plant life. To determine plant development, including the development of plant diameter and height, a growth evaluation is needed. Growth evaluation assessment needs to be carried out to determine the implementation status and as a basis for extending and returning forest area utilization permits. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the growth of sengon laut plants at PT. Rimba Tanaman Industri. This study used an exploratory survey method. Sampling of plant ages 1 year (20 ha), 2 years (7 ha), and 3 years (12 ha) using a purposive sampling system. The data obtained in this study were analyzed using analysis of variance and then continued with a Linear Regression test. From the research results obtained the average percentage of survival of sengon laut plants aged 1 year was 72.94% including moderate criteria, 2 years old was 83.67% including good criteria, and 3 years old was 93.69% including good criteria so it can be said to be successful. Based on the results of plant diameter measurements, the diameter and height of the plants were processed statistically simply to obtain data on the level of plant quality grouped into Cluster A (Excellent) = T max - x = F Cluster B (Good) = ≤ F - Y = G Cluster C (Medium) = ≤ G - Y = H Cluster D (Poor) = ≤ H. Based on the results of the analysis of variance and linear regression model tests of soil chemical properties with pH and C-Organic variables showed a significant effect on plant diameter on all clusters, namely A, B, C, and D at each age observed. Sengon laut (Paraserianthes falcataria (L.)Nielsen) merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan pada Hutan Tanaman Industri (HTI) karena pertumbuhannya yang cepat, mudah beradaptasi dan tidak memerlukan kondisi lahan yang subur, dan juga mempunyai nilai ekonomi yang tinggi terutama dalam pengembangan bidang industri dan infrastruktur. Rasio tanaman hidup terhadap total tanaman digunakan untuk menghitung persentase kehidupan tanaman. Untuk mengetahui perkembangan tanaman, termasuk perkembangan diameter dan tinggi tanaman, perlu dilakukan evaluasi pertumbuhan. Penilaian evaluasi pertumbuhan perlu dilakukan untuk menentukan status pelaksanaan dan sebagai dasar perpanjangan dan pengembalian izin pemanfaatan kawasan hutan. Tujuan penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengevaluasi pertumbuhan tanaman sengon laut di PT. Rimba Tanaman Industri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei eksploratif. Pengambilan sampel umur tanaman 1 tahun (20 ha), 2 tahun (7 ha), dan 3 tahun (12 ha) dengan menggunakan sistem purposive sampling. Data yang didapat dalam penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam dan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji Regresi Linier. Dari hasil penelitian yang diperoleh rata-rata presentase hidup tanaman sengon laut umur 1 tahun sebesar 72,94% termasuk kriteria sedang, umur 2 tahun sebesar 83,67% termasuk kriteria baik, dan umur 3 tahun sebesar93,69% termasuk kriteria baik sehingga dapat dikatakan berhasil. Berdasarkan pada hasil pengukuran diameter tanaman, diameter dan tinggi tanaman diolah seara statistik sederhana untuk mendapatkan data tingkat kualitas tanaman dikelompokan menjadi Klaster A (Excellent) = T max – x = F Klaster B (Good) = ≤ F – Y = G Klaster C (Medium) = ≤ G – Y = H Klaster D (Poor) = ≤ H. Berdasarkan hasil analisis sidik ragam dan uji model regresi linier sifat kimia tanah dengan variabel pH dan C-Organik menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan dengan diameter tanaman terhadap semua klaster yaitu A, B, C, dan D disetiap umur yang diamati.
