Abstract

ABSTRAK: Nyamplung (Calophyllum inophyllum L.) merupakan salah satu tanaman penghasil minyak nabati yang berpotensi sebagai sumber energi pengganti. Keunggulan pembuatan biodiesel dari biji nyamplung dibandingkan tanaman lain adalah rendemen minyaknya lebih tinggi yaitu 40-73%. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya perbanyakan terhadap bibit nyamplung. Dalam upaya mendukung perbanyakan bibit nyamplung salah satunya adalah penambahan media tanam yang tepat. Selain penggunaan media tanam yang baik, penambahan unsur hara sangat diperlukan dalam proses pertumbuhan tanaman salah satunya dengan cara pemupukan yaitu pemberian pupuk organik cair. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis interaksi antara pupuk organik cair dan komposisi media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan bibit nyamplung, menganalisis dosis pupuk organik cair dan komposisi media tanam yang paling optimal untuk pertumbuhan bibit nyamplung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 4 bulan dari bulan November 2023 hingga Februari 2024. Rancangan percobaan ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 2 faktor yaitu pemberian pupuk organik cair dan komposisi media tanam dan data diambil dengan melakukan pengukuran variabel pengamatan. Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat interaksi antara pemberian pupuk organik cair dan komposisi media tanam terhadap semua variabel pengamatan. Pada lanjut BNT dengan taraf 5% dapat diketahui bahwa perlakuan pemberian pupuk organik cair dan media tanam terdapat perbedaan yang nyata pada setiap faktor tunggal pada variabel pertambahan tinggi, pertambahan diameter, jumlah daun, berat kering tajuk, dan berat kering akar. Dengan rata-rata pertumbuhan tanaman terbaik pada p2 (dosis 10 ml). Untuk media tanam pada perlakuan m1 yaitu (top soil + pasir (1:1)). SUMMARY: Nyamplung (Calophyllum inophyllum L.) is one of the oil-producing plants with the potential to serve as an alternative energy source. One of the advantages of producing biodiesel from nyamplung seeds compared to other plants is its higher oil yield, ranging from 40% to 73%. Therefore, the propagation of nyamplung seedlings is necessary. To support this propagation, the use of appropriate planting media is essential. In addition to selecting suitable planting media, the addition of nutrients is crucial for plant growth. One way to enhance nutrient availability is through fertilization, particularly by applying liquid organic fertilizer. The aim of this study is to analyze the interaction between liquid organic fertilizer and planting media composition on the growth of Calophyllum inophyllum seedlings, as well as to determine the optimal dosage of liquid organic fertilizer and the most effective planting media composition for seedling growth. This research was conducted over four months, from November 2023 to February 2024. The experimental design used a Completely Randomized Design with two factors: the application of liquid organic fertilizer and the composition of the planting media. Data were collected by measuring the observed variables. The analysis of variance (ANOVA) results showed no interaction between the application of liquid organic fertilizer and the composition of the plan=[ting media for all observed variables. However, based on the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at a 5% significance level, significant differences were found in each single factor for variables such as height increment, diameter increment, number of leaves, shoot dry weight, and root dry weight. The best average plant growth was observed in the P2 treatment (10 ml dosage of liquid organic fertilizer). For planting media, the best treatment was M1 (topsoil + sand 1:1)).
