Abstract
ABSTRAK Latar belakang. Acne vulgaris adalah inflamasi kronik pada unit pilosebasea dengan tanda klinis lesi non-inflamasi dan inflamasi dengan tingkat inflamasi yang berbeda. minyak atau sebum dan pertumbuhan koloni bakteri penyebab jerawat. Metode. Penelitian ini dengan pemilihan minyak atsiri daun nilam, pembuatan formula nanoemulsi minyak nilam, evaluasi sediaan nanoemulsi minyak nilam yaitu uji karakteristik minyak nilam, uji karakteristik nanopartikel, uji tipe emulsi. Kemudian pembuatan formula nanogel minyak atsiri daun nilam dan evaluasi sediaan nanogel meliputi uji organoleptis, uji homogenitas, uji viskoitas, uji pH, uji daya sebar, uji daya lekat, uji stabilitas, uji iritasi dan uji aktivitas antibakteri. Hasil dianalisis secara deskriptif dan statistik One-Way ANOVA dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%. Hasil. Hasil evaluasi fisik sediaan nanoemulsi memenuhi syarat dan dilanjutkan pengujian fisik formula nanogel minyak nilam. Sediaan nanogel pada F1, F2 dan F3 berbentuk padat, berwarna putih kekuningan, memiliki aroma khas minyak atsiri daun nilam. Ketiga formula terbentuk homogen sesuai dengan persyaratan SNI No. 06-2588 untuk sediaan gel. Sediaan juga stabil dan tidak mengiritasi. Uji aktivitas antibakteri F1, F2 dan F3 memiliki zona hambat terhadap Propionibacterium acnes. Kesimpulan. Formula nanogel minyak atsiri daun nilam yang terbaik adalah F3 dengan zona hambatan 21,54 mm terhadap Propionibacterium acnes. Semakin tinggi konsentrasi, maka semakin tinggi hambatan terhadap bakteri. Kata Kunci: Jerawat, Nanogel, Minyak Atsiri Daun Nilam, Propionibacterium acnes. ABSTRACT Background. This research is by selecting patchouli leaf essential oil, making patchouli oil nanoemulsion formulas, evaluating patchouli oil nanoemulsion preparations, namely patchouli oil characteristics test, nanoparticle characteristics test, emulsion type test. Then the preparation of the patchouli leaf essential oil nanogel formula and the evaluation of the nanogel preparation include organoleptis test, homogeneity test, viscosity test, pH test, dispersion test, adhesion test, stability test, irritation test and antibacterial activity test. The results were analyzed descriptively and statistically One-Way ANOVA with a confidence level of 95%. Result. The results of the physical evaluation of the nanoemulsion preparation met the requirements and continued with physical testing of the patchouli oil nanogel formula. The nanogel preparations in F1, F2 and F3 are solid, yellowish-white in color, have a distinctive aroma of patchouli leaf essential oil. The three formulas are homogeneously formed in accordance with the requirements of SNI No. 06-2588 for gel preparations. The preparation is also stable and non-irritating. The antibacterial activity test F1, F2 and F3 have an inhibitory zone against Propionibacterium acnes. Conclusion. He best patchouli essential oil nanogel formula is F3 with an inhibition zone of 21.54 mm against Propionibacterium acnes. The higher the concentration, the higher the resistance to bacteria.
