Abstract

Pra rancangan pabrik ini bertujuan untuk merancang produksi asam akrilat dari bahan baku acrolein melalui proses oksidasi katalitik. Asam akrilat merupakan senyawa organik penting yang digunakan dalam industri polimer, cat, perekat, tekstil, dan superabsorben. Proses produksi utama melibatkan reaksi oksidasi acrolein menggunakan katalis molibdenum-bismuth pada suhu sekitar 250–300°C dan tekanan 1–2 atm dalam reaktor oksidasi. Reaksi ini menghasilkan asam akrilat dengan konversi tinggi dan selektivitas yang optimal. Produk kemudian dimurnikan melalui serangkaian proses pemisahan, seperti kondensasi, flash drum, dan ekstraksi, untuk memperoleh asam akrilat dengan kemurnian tinggi. Pabrik dirancang dengan kapasitas produksi (108.000 ton/tahun) yang mempertimbangkan ketersediaan bahan baku, permintaan pasar, serta efisiensi operasional. Lokasi pabrik dipilih berdasarkan faktor ekonomi, aksesibilitas bahan baku, infrastruktur pendukung, serta dampak lingkungan yang minimal. Studi ekonomi mencakup estimasi biaya investasi, biaya produksi, dan analisis kelayakan finansial menggunakan parameter seperti Rate of Return (ROR), Net Present Value (NPV), dan Payback Period (PP). Dari analisis ini, pabrik diharapkan memiliki nilai keuntungan yang kompetitif dengan potensi pasar yang luas, mengingat tingginya permintaan asam akrilat dalam berbagai industri. Dalam aspek lingkungan, pabrik ini menerapkan sistem pengelolaan limbah yang efektif untuk meminimalkan dampak negatif terhadap ekosistem. Limbah gas dari reaksi dikendalikan dengan sistem scrubber, sementara limbah cair dan padat diolah sesuai standar regulasi lingkungan.
