Abstract
This research is based on the lack of cooperation between students, the lack of student cooperation attitude is shown by during discussions, students do not involve themselves in expressing opinions, as well as in accepting opinions from their friends. This shows a lack of cooperation between students. The lack of student cooperation attitude is caused by student incompatibility in the group, lack of respect for opinions from other friends, not participating in assignments in groups and there are students who are still hesitant or embarrassed in expressing their opinions. This study aims to improve the cooperative attitude of students by using the Card Sort strategy in class IV B of the 151 / IV Public Elementary School of Jambi City, and is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) taken through observation, this research was carried out in 4 stages namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results showed that the application of the Card Sort learning strategy could improve student collaboration. Can be seen from the results of the value of student cooperation attitudes of 63 with a fairly good category in the first and 85 cycles with a very good category in the second cycle. From the results of this study it can be concluded that student collaboration can increase after the Card Sort learning strategy is applied. The learning step of the teacher shapes students into several groups. Then give each group a piece of card containing material or assignments to be worked on, each group looking for the appropriate pair of pieces of card, after finding pairs of card pieces students work on the assignments they get, after students finish working on the assignments, representatives of group members explain the results from the work they have done together.
