Abstract
Pengambilan sampel berdasarkan Satuan Lahan Homogen (SLH). Sebanyak 16 sampel tanah diambil pada kedalaman 0-30 cm, kemudian dianalisis di Laboratorium Research and Development (R&D) PT. Nusa Pusaka Kencana. Abstract Indonesia has over 30 million hectares of wetlands, with approximately 20.1 million hectares classified as tidal wetlands. However, only 5.27 million hectares are utilized for agriculture, while the remaining 13.3 million hectares have the potential for development. In Jambi Province, particularly in Pemusiran Village, tidal wetlands used for agriculture remain limited, with major constraints including high salinity levels, soil acidity, and low availability of essential macronutrients such as nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). The objective of this study is to evaluate the nutrient status of tidal rice field soils in Pemusiran Village, Nipah Panjang Sub-district, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, and to provide fertilizer recommendations to enhance rice production. Soil sampling was based on Homogeneous Land Units (HLU). A total of 16 soil samples were collected at a depth of 0–30 cm and analyzed at the Research and Development (R&D) Laboratory of PT. Nusa Pusaka Kencana. The analysis results indicated that the primary macronutrient status in the study area was relatively low. The total N content ranged from low to moderate, total P was very low to moderate, while total K was categorized as very high. The high K content is suspected to be due to the farmers' practice of returning rice straw residues to the soil, while the low P content is attributed to the high soil acidity. Therefore, an appropriate fertilization strategy is needed to improve soil fertility and agricultural productivity in these tidal wetlands. Keyword: tidal wetlands, soil nutrient status, fertilization, soil fertility, rice production.
