Abstract
Kata kunci: sifat kimia, umur tanaman, kelerengan ABSTRACT Soil is one of the main components in the development of oil palm plantations. Soil properties are very important in supporting plant growth and development, both physical, biological and chemical properties of the soil. Soil chemical properties include soil pH and nutrient content, chemical fertility levels such as the main nutrient content, soil acidity, cation exchange capacity, organic matter content. The older the oil palm, the higher the dose of fertilizer given, because with increasing plant growth, the concentration of nutrients needed will also be higher. Efforts that can be made to increase oil palm production by improving soil chemical properties. The chemical components of the soil that affect plant growth are soil pH, N, P, K, C-Organic and soil CEC. The study was conducted in the oil palm plantation area of PT Mekar Agro Sawit located in Simpang Aur Gading Village, Bathin XXIV District, Batanghari Regency, Jambi Province. Soil analysis was carried out at the PT Bina Sawit Makmur Laboratory. This study was conducted using a survey method. Sampling using a purposive sampling system, namely a soil sampling system based on several different ages of oil palm plants and different slope classes. This research work map was created based on an overlay of plant age maps and slope maps. Keywords: chemical properties, plant age, slope
