Abstract
This research aims to analyze the political form of Fatayat Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) affiliation in supporting the victory of female legislative candidates in the 2019 Legislative Election (Pileg) in Jambi Province. As well as knowing the reasons and comparisons regarding whether there are cadres who are selected and those who are not selected. Using a social capital theory approach, this research identifies the role of social networks, trust relationships, and forms of religious ideological affiliation as the main factors influencing Fatayat NU involvement. The research method used was qualitative with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with Fatayat NU members, female legislative candidates and other related parties. The research results show that Fatayat NU plays a major role in building strong social networks, utilizing relationships of mutual trust based on agreement and cooperation, and consolidating political support through ideological affiliation and NU religious values. This support is realized through friendship activities, strengthening the capacity of female legislative candidates, and disseminating strategic political information. However, there are also Fatayat NU cadres who fail to utilize social capital in their organization, this happens because they are less active and do not build a good network within the organization and this becomes a challenge in maintaining organizational independence and maximizing its social role. network is still a major concern. This research enriches theoretical understanding of social capital in the local political context, as well as providing practical insights for religious organizations and female legislative candidates to improve winning strategies through affiliate politics.
