Abstract

Pupuk anorganik digunakan dalam pertanian untuk meningkatkan hasil produksi tanaman, namun penggunaannya yang berlebihan dapat menurunkan kesuburan tanah, merusak kualitas lingkungan, dan meningkatkan ketergantungan terhadap bahan kimia. Penggunaan pupuk organik sebagai alternatif menjadi salah satu solusi untuk mengurangi dampak negatif tersebut, khususnya dalam budidaya tanaman caisim (Brassica Juncea L.), yang merupakan salah satu sayuran yang banyak dikonsumsi di Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Teaching and Research Farm Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi pada bulan Juni sampai dengan Juli 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan satu faktor perlakuan yaitu kombinasi antara konsentrasi POC limbah sayuran dan interval waktu pemberian dengan 7 taraf yaitu: p0 = Tanpa POC limbah sayuran, p1 = POC 20 mL L-1 3 hari sekali, p2 = POC 20 mL L-1 6 hari sekali, p3 = POC 40 mL L-1 3 hari sekali, p4 = POC 40 mL L-1 6 hari sekali, p5 = POC 60 mL L-1 3 hari sekali, p6 = POC 60 mL L-1 6 hari sekali. Variabel yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun total, bobot segar per tanaman, dan bobot segar per petakan. Hasil penelitian kombinasi konsentrasi dan interval waktu pemberian pupuk organik cair dari limbah sayuran berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun total, bobot segar per tanaman, dan hasil tanaman caisim. Pemberian pupuk organik cair 40 mL L-1 dengan interval waktu 6 hari sekali memberikan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun total, bobot segar per tanaman, dan hasil caisim yang terbaik. Inorganic fertilizers are used in agriculture to increase crop yields, but excessive use can reduce soil fertility, damage environmental quality, and increase dependence on chemicals. The use of organic fertilizers as an alternative is one solution to reduce these negative impacts, especially in the cultivation of caisim (Brassica Juncea L.), which is one of the vegetables widely consumed in Indonesia. This research was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi from June to July 2024. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with one treatment factor, namely a combination of vegetable waste POC concentration and administration time interval with 7 levels, namely: p0 = Without vegetable waste POC, p1 = POC 20 mL L-1 once every 3 days, p2 = POC 20 mL L-1 once every 6 days, p3 = POC 40 mL L-1 once every 3 days, p4 = POC 40 mL L-1 once every 6 days, p5 = POC 60 mL L-1 once every 3 days, p6 = POC 60 mL L-1 once every 6 days. The variables observed were plant height, number of leaves, total leaf area, fresh weight per plant, and fresh weight per plot. The results of the study showed that the combination of concentration and time interval of administration of liquid organic fertilizer from vegetable waste had a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, total leaf area, fresh weight per plant, and caisim plant yield. The administration of 40 mL L-1 liquid organic fertilizer with an interval of 6 days provided the best plant height, number of leaves, total leaf area, fresh weight per plant, and caisim yield.
