Abstract

INTISARI Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses pemutakhiran daftar pemilih yang dilakukan oleh Komisi Pemilihan Umum Kota Jambi menjelang Pemilihan Umum Tahun 2024. Pemutakhiran data pemilih merupakan langkah penting dalam memastikan integritas dan legitimasi pemilu, di mana akurasi data pemilih menjadi fondasi utama bagi pelaksanaan pemilu yang transparan dan adil. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Meskipun KPU Kota Jambi telah melaksanakan pemutakhiran dengan baik, terdapat beberapa kendala yang dihadapi, seperti kurangnya partisipasi masyarakat dan tantangan dalam verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan masyarakat sangat penting untuk meningkatkan akurasi data pemilih. Selain itu, tantangan yang dihadapi oleh pantarlih di lapangan, seperti kesulitan menemui pemilih, kurangnya pemahaman prosedur, dan penggunaan teknologi yang tidak optimal, juga berkontribusi pada masalah ini. Ketidaksesuaian data dan kurangnya transparansi dalam proses pemutakhiran dapat mengurangi kepercayaan publik terhadap hasil pemilu. Untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pemutakhiran, disarankan agar KPU meningkatkan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat, memberikan pelatihan yang lebih baik bagi Pantarlih, memanfaatkan teknologi informasi, serta melakukan monitoring dan evaluasi secara berkala. Dengan langkah-langkah ini, diharapkan pemutakhiran daftar pemilih dapat berjalan lebih efektif, menghasilkan data yang akurat, dan mendukung pelaksanaan pemilu yang lebih adil dan demokratis. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi perbaikan proses pemutakhiran daftar pemilih dan pelaksanaan pemilu yang lebih baik di masa mendatang. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through in-depth interviews and documentation. Even though the Jambi City KPU has implemented the update well, it has faced several obstacles, such as a lack of community participation and challenges in data verification. The research results show that community involvement is very important to increase the accuracy of voter data. Apart from that, the challenges faced by election supervisors in the field, such as difficulty meeting voters, lack of understanding of procedures, and suboptimal use of technology, also contribute to this problem. Data discrepancies and lack of transparency in the updating process can reduce public confidence in election results. To increase the effectiveness of updates, it is recommended that the KPU increase outreach to the community, provide better training for Pantarlih, utilize information technology, and carry out regular monitoring and evaluation. With these steps, it is hoped that updating the voter list can run more effectively, produce accurate data, and support the implementation of fairer and more democratic elections. Thus, it is hoped that this research can contribute to improving the process of updating the voter list and implementing better elections in the future.
