Abstract
Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin merupakan salah satu daerah di Sumatra Selatan yang termasuk memiliki sumber daya alam batubara yang sangat melimpah. Batubara masih sangat berperan penting sebagai sumber daya alam yang sangat dibutuhkan sehingga penting mengetahui aspek-aspek Batubara mulai dari kualitas dan karakteristik Batubara serta proses pembentukan batubara. Sehingga perlu dilakukan cara mengindikasikan lingkungan pengendapan Batubara. Hal ini bertujuan untuk menjadi informasi tambahan serta dapat mengetahui karakteristik Batubara sehingga dapat menjadi tambahan informasi. Pada penelitian ini digunakan data sekunder berupa data LAS file hasil perekaman data well logging sebanyak 7 sumur yang kemudian di olah menggunakan software WellCAD 5.5 untuk mendapatkan hasil lembar log yaitu log Gamma ray dan log density yang kemudian dinterpretasi litologi bawah permukaan dengan membaca defleksi kurva log, dari hasil pembacaan kurva log didapatkan litologi pada daerah peneltian berupa batulempung, batulanau, batupasir, dan batubara. Dilakukan analisa variasi ukuran butir dari litologi pada daerah penelitian menggunakan metode Analisis Elektrofasies didapatkan tiga pola pengendapan dominan daerah penelitian bertipe Serrated, Cylindrical dan Symmetrical jika dibandingkan dengan klasifikasi Horne 1978, fasies yang berkembang pada daerah penelitian berupa Backswamp pada litologi batubara berseling batu lempung, lalu Channel pada litologi batulanau dan batupasir ditandai dengan batupasir dan batu lanau, lamination-cross bedding perlapisannya tidak teratur, climbing ripple, sortasi buruk. Serta Levee pada batukeras, lempungan dan dari analisis fasies tersebut dapat di identifikasi bahwa di daerah penelitian merupakan lingkungan pengendapan Delta pada zona Upper Delta Plain-Fluvial. Musi Banyuasin Regency is one of the areas in South Sumatra that has abundant coal natural resources. Coal still plays a very important role as a natural resource that is very much needed, so it is important to know the aspects of coal starting from the quality and characteristics of coal and the process of coal formation. So it is necessary to do a way to indicate the depositional environment of coal. This aims to provide additional information and to be able to find out the characteristics of coal so that it can be additional information. In this study, secondary data was used in the form of LAS file data from recording well logging data from 7 wells which were then processed using WellCAD 5.5 software to obtain log sheet results, namely Gamma ray logs and density logs which were then interpreted as subsurface lithology by reading the log curve deflection, from the results of the log curve exploration obtained by lithology in the research area in the form of claystone, siltstone, sandstone, and coal. Analysis of grain size variations of lithology in the research area was carried out using the Electrofacies Analysis method, three dominant sedimentation patterns were obtained in the research area, namely the Serrated, Cylindrical and Symmetrical types when compared with the Horne 1978 classification facies that developed in the research area in the form of Backswamp in coal lithology alternating with claystone, then Channel in siltstone and sandstone lithology characterized by sandstone and siltstone, irregular lamination-cross bedding, climbing ripple, poor sorting. And Levee in hardstone, clay and from the analysis of the facies it can be identified that the research area is a Delta depositional environment in the Upper Delta Plain-Fluvial zone.
