Abstract

RINGKASAN Respon Tanaman Kacang Hijau (Vigna radiata (L.) R.Wilczek) Terhadap Pemberian Kombinasi Unsur Mikro Boron (B) dan Molibdenum (Mo) (Muhammad Salik di bawah bimbingan Bapak Ir. Buhaira, M. P dan Ibu Miranti Sari Fitriani, S. P., M. P). Kacang hijau (Vigna radiata (L.) R.Wilczek) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang mempunyai nilai gizi cukup baik. Di Provinsi Jambi, meskipun luas panen dan produksi jauh lebih kecil dibandingkan nasional, terjadi peningkatan signifikan dalam produktivitas dari hanya 0,06 ton/ha pada tahun 2019–2020 menjadi 1,03 ton/ha pada tahun 2023. Salah satu alternatif untuk meningkatkan hasil tanaman kacang hijau adalah dengan pemberian unsur hara mikro, seperti Boron dan Molibdenum. Penerapan boron dan molibdenum tidak hanya meningkatkan hasil panen, tetapi juga meningkatkan kualitas hasil. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk 1) mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kombinasi unsur mikro Boron (B) dan Molibdenum (Mo) terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman kacang hijau (Vigna radiata (L.) R.Wilczek); dan 2) mendapatkan dosis kombinasi terbaik unsur mikro Boron (B) dan Molibdenum (Mo) yang memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kacang hijau (Vigna radiata (L.) R.Wilczek). Penelitian ini dilakukan di lokasi Teaching and Research Farm Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi kampus Unja Mendalo, dengan ketinggian tanah ±35 mdpl. Penelitian berlangsung selama ± 3 bulan. Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan pemberian satu faktor yaitu kombinasi unsur mikro Boron (B) dan Molibdenum (Mo) dengan 5 taraf perlakuan yaitu: p0 = tanpa pemberian unsur mikro; p1 = pemberian kombinasi 25 kg B dan 25 kg Mo per hektar; p2 = pemberian kombinasi 25 kg B dan 50 kg Mo per hektar; p3 = pemberian kombinasi 50 kg B dan 25 kg per hektar; dan p4 = pemberian kombinasi 50 kg B dan 50 kg Mo per hektar. Petak percobaan 25 petakan dengan ukuran 2 m x 1 m dengan jarak antar petak perlakuan dalam kelompok adalah 50 cm. Variabel pengamatan adalah tinggi tanaman, umur berbunga, jumlah polong per tanaman, bobot biji per tanamanan (gram), berat 100 biji (gram) dan hasil per hektar. Data pengamatan yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis ragam (uji F) pada taraf α = 5%. Hasil analisis ragam dilanjutkan dengan Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian kombinasi unsur mikro Boron (B) dan Molibdenum (Mo) berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil produksi tanaman kacang hijau (Vigna radiata (L.) R.Wilczek). Dosis kombinasi terbaik yang memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil optimal pada tanaman kacang hijau diperoleh dari perlakuan kombinasi 50 kg Boron (B) dan 50 kg Molibdenum (Mo). ABSTRAK Response of Mung Bean (Vigna radiata (L.) R. Wilczek) to the Application of a Combination of Micronutrients Boron (B) and Molybdenum (Mo) (Muhammad Salik under the supervision of Mr. Ir. Buhaira, M.P and Mrs. Miranti Sari Fitriani, S.P., M.P.) Mung bean (Vigna radiata (L.) R. Wilczek) is one of the crops with significant nutritional value. In Jambi Province, although the harvested area and production are much smaller compared to the national scale, there has been a significant increase in productivity—from only 0.06 tons/ha in 2019–2020 to 1.03 tons/ha in 2023. One alternative to enhance mung bean yield is the application of micronutrients such as Boron (B) and Molybdenum (Mo). The use of boron and molybdenum not only improves yield but also enhances the quality of the produce. This study aimed to: 1. Examine the effect of applying a combination of the micronutrients Boron (B) and Molybdenum (Mo) on the growth and yield of mung bean (Vigna radiata (L.) R. Wilczek); and 2. Determine the optimal combination dosage of Boron (B) and Molybdenum (Mo) that results in the best growth and yield of mung bean. The research was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, Jambi University, at the Unja Mendalo Campus, located at an altitude of approximately 35 meters above sea level. The study lasted for approximately three months. A Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was used with a single factor treatment: the combination of the micronutrients Boron (B) and Molybdenum (Mo), consisting of five treatment levels: p0 = no micronutrient application (control), p1 = 25 kg B + 25 kg Mo per hectare, p2 = 25 kg B + 50 kg Mo per hectare, p3 = 50 kg B + 25 kg Mo per hectare, p4 = 50 kg B + 50 kg Mo per hectare. The experiment consisted of 25 plots, each measuring 2 m x 1 m, with a 50 cm spacing between plots within each group. Observed variables included plant height, days to flowering, number of pods per plant, seed weight per plant (grams), 100-seed weight (grams), and yield per hectare. Observational data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) at a significance level of α = 5%. Significant differences were further analyzed using Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% level. The results indicated that the application of the combination of micronutrients Boron (B) and Molybdenum (Mo) significantly affected the growth and yield of mung bean (Vigna radiata (L.) R. Wilczek). The best growth and yield were achieved with the treatment of 50 kg Boron (B) and 50 kg Molybdenum (Mo) per hectare.
