Abstract

ABSTRAK Kopi adalah salah satu komoditas perkebunan dengan nilai ekonomis yang berperan penting sebagai sumber pendapatan masyarakat dan kontributor devisa negara. Terdapat tiga jenis kopi yang dibudidayakan di Indonesia maupun di provinsi Jambi, antara lain kopi Arabika, kopi Robusta, dan kopi Liberika. Di antara ketiga jenis tersebut, kopi Liberika saat ini menjadi fokus perhatian. Namun, pengembangan perkebunan tanaman kopi yang di perluas menghadapi berbagai kendala, termaksud berkurangnya lahan potensial yang tersedia. Penggunaan lahan sebagai lahan non – pertanian umumnya digunakan sebagai kawasan industri, yang menyebabkan kerusakan dan pencemaran tanah di sekitarnya (Ross, 1994). Salah satu metode yang sederhana adalah dengan menanam tanaman hiperakumulator di area tercemar untuk mengurangi tingkat pencemaran logam, sebuah teknik yang dikenal sebagai fitoremediasi (Hardiani, 2009). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Teaching and research Farm, Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi, Mendalo Indah, Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, Provinsi Jambi. Waktu penelitian ini dilaksanakan mulai dari bulan Desember 2024 hingga bulan Februari 2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 2 faktor perlakuan, yaitu Cadmium (c), c1 = Larutan Cadmium konsentrasi 10 ppm, c2 = Larutan Cadmium konsentrasi 20 ppm dan Komposisi tanaman kopi dan jarak (k), k0 = 1 tanaman kopi, k1 = 1 tanaman kopi + 1 jarak, k2 = 1 tanaman kopi + 2 jarak dan k3 = 2 tanaman kopi + 1 jarak. Setiap plot percobaan terdapat 3 tanaman sehingga terdapat 120 tanaman secara keseluruhan. Dari 3 tanaman dalam setiap plot percobaan di ambil 2 tanaman sampel secara acak. Untuk melihat pengaruh perlakuan terhadap variabel yang diamati, maka data hasil pengamatan dianalisis secara statistik dengan menggunakan sidik ragam (ANOVA). Sedangkan untuk melihat perbedaan antar perlakuan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) pada taraf α = 5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat interaksi antara pemberian konsentrasi Cadmium dengan komposisi tanaman kopi + jarak pada variable diameter batang, bobot kering tajuk dan rasio tajuk akar. Kata Kunci : Bibit kopi liberika, Bibit jarak, Hiperakumulator, Fitoremediasi, Cadmium ABSTRACT Coffee is one of the plantation commodities with economic value that plays an important role as a source of income for the community and a contributor to the country's foreign exchange. There are three types of coffee cultivated in Indonesia and in Jambi province, namely Arabica coffee, Robusta coffee, and Liberica coffee. Among the three types, Liberica coffee is currently the focus of attention. However, the development of expanded coffee plantations faces various obstacles, including the reduction in available potential land. The use of land as non-agricultural land is generally used as an industrial area, which causes damage and pollution of the surrounding soil (Ross, 1994). One simple method is to plant hyperaccumulator plants in polluted areas to reduce the level of metal pollution, a technique known as phytoremediation (Hardiani, 2009). This research was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi, Mendalo Indah, Jambi Luar Kota District, Muaro Jambi Regency, Jambi Province. The time of this research was carried out from December 2024 to February 2025. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 treatment factors, namely Cadmium (c), c1 = Cadmium solution with a concentration of 10 ppm, c2 = Cadmium solution with a concentration of 20 ppm and Composition of coffee and castor plants (k), k0 = 1 coffee plant, k1 = 1 coffee plant + 1 castor, k2 = 1 coffee plant + 2 castor and k3 = 2 coffee plants + 1 castor. Each experimental plot had 3 plants so that there were 120 plants in total. From 3 plants in each experimental plot, 2 sample plants were taken randomly. To see the effect of treatment on the observed variables, the observation data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Meanwhile, to see the differences between treatments, it was continued with the Least Significant Difference Test (LSD) at the α = 5% level. Based on the results of the study, it showed that there was an interaction between the administration of Cadmium concentration and the composition of coffee plants + castor on the variables of stem diameter, dry weight of the crown and root crown ratio
