Abstract
Abstrak Lahan gambut merupakan sumber daya alam yang memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem, antara lain sebagai penyimpan air, pengendali iklim, dan habitat keanekaragaman hayati. Indonesia memiliki sebaran lahan gambut yang luas, termasuk di Provinsi Jambi yang mencakup sekitar 736 ribu hektar. Namun, lahan gambut menghadapi tantangan serius, terutama kebakaran yang menyebabkan kerusakan ekologis dan menurunkan kualitas tanah. Oleh karena itu, upaya rehabilitasi dan pemanfaatan lahan gambut sebagai media tanam alternatif sangat diperlukan untuk menjaga fungsinya, salah satunya melalui kegiatan restorasi seperti penanaman kembali dengan spesies yang sesuai. Kawasan Hutan Lindung Gambut (HLG) Londerang menjadi lokasi penelitian karena telah mengalami kebakaran dan sedang dalam proses pemulihan yang didukung oleh Korea–Indonesia Forest Cooperation Center (KIFC). Rancangan penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan satu faktor perlakuan pupuk NPK dalam lima taraf dosis (200 gram, 220 gram, 240 gram, 260 gram, 280 gram/lubang tanam), masing-masing diulang lima kali, menghasilkan total 25 petak dan 125 tanaman. Pupuk lanjutan diberikan sekali di awal pemupukan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruhnya terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman, sementara pemeliharaan meliputi penyulaman, penyiangan gulma, dan pengendalian hama. Variabel yang diamati mencakup pertambahan tinggi, diameter, jumlah daun, serta data penunjang seperti tinggi muka air, suhu, kelembaban, dan pH tanah. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji DMRT pada taraf 5% untuk mengetahui signifikansi antar perlakuan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pemberian pupuk NPK dengan dosis 220 gram (N2) menunjukkan kecenderungan hasil yang lebih baik dalam mendukung pertumbuhan disbanding dosis yang lain selain itu faktor lingkungan seperti suhu, kelembaban, dan curah hujan turut berkontribusi dalam pertumbuhan tanaman jelutung di lahan gambut bekas terbakar. Abstract Peatland is a natural resource that has an important role in maintaining ecosystem balance, including as a water storage, climate controller, and biodiversity habitat. Indonesia has a large distribution of peatlands, including in Jambi Province which covers around 736 thousand hectares. However, peatlands face serious challenges, especially fires that cause ecological damage and reduce soil quality. Therefore, efforts to rehabilitate and utilize peatland as an alternative planting medium are very necessary to maintain its function, one of which is through restoration activities such as replanting with appropriate species. The Londerang Peat Protected Forest Area (HLG) became a research site because it has experienced a fire and is in the process of recovery supported by the Korea–Indonesia Forest Cooperation Center (KIFC). The research design uses Group Random Design (RAK) with one NPK fertilizer treatment factor in five dosage levels (200 grams, 220 grams, 240 grams, 260 grams, 280 grams/planting hole), each repeated five times, producing a total of 25 plots and 125 plants. Follow-up fertilizer is given once at the beginning of fertilization to evaluate its effect on plant growth, while maintenance includes fertilization, weeding, and pest control. The observed variables include the increase in height, diameter, number of leaves, as well as supporting data such as water level, temperature, humidity, and soil pH. Data analysis was carried out using the DMRT test at the 5% level to determine the significance between treatments. Based on the research results, the administration of NPK fertilizer with a dose of 220 grams (N2) shows a tendency for better results in supporting growth compared to other doses. In addition, environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and rainfall also contribute to the growth of jelutung plants in burnt peatlands.
