Abstract
Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik sosial ekonomi pendapatan pedagang kaki lima makanan serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pendapatan pedagang kaki lima makanan di desa Mendalo Indah Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara langsung dengan 58 pedagang di lokasi penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendapatan PKL sangat bervariasi, dipengaruhi oleh modal, jam kerja, lama usaha, tingkat pendidikan, dan umur. Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa pedagang dengan modal yang lebih besar, jam kerja yang lebih banyak, lama usaha yang lebih banyak, dan tingkat pendidikan yang lebih tinggi memiliki pendapatan yang lebih tinggi. Sedangkan umur tidak mempengaruhi pendapatan pedagang kaki lima makanan. Peneliti memberikan saran agar PKL meningkatkan keterampilan pengelolaan keuangan dan memanfaatkan teknologi digital dalam menjalankan usaha mereka. Pemerintah diharapkan memberikan dukungan berupa pelatihan kewirausahaan dan kebijakan yang mendukung keberlanjutan usaha PKL. Abstract This study aims to analize the socio-economic characteristics of street food vendor’s income and the factors that influence their income in Mendalo Indah Village, Jambi Luar Kota District. A survey method with a quantitave approach was employed in this rresearch. Data were collected through direct interviews with 58 vendors at the research location. The results indicate that the income of street food vendors varies significantly and is influenced by capital, working hours, business duration, education level, and age. Data analysis shows that vendors with greater capital, longer working hours, longer business duration, and higher education levels tend to earn higher incomes. In contrast, age does not have a significant effect on the income of street foof vendors. The researchers recommend that vendors enhance their finansial management skills and utilize digital technology in managing their businesses. The government is expected to provide support in the form of entrepreneurship training and policies that promote the sustainability of street foof vendor businesses.
