Abstract
Provinsi Jambi memiliki potensi besar dalam budidaya terung ungu, namun produktivitasnya masih belum optimal karena kondisi tanah yang didominasi oleh tanah ultisol yang kurang subur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian POC berbahan dasar kulit nanas dan pupuk NPK terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman terung ungu varietas Yuvita F1. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Teaching and Research Farm Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi selama 3 bulan, menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan 8 taraf perlakuan yaitu: p0 = 0 mL L-1 POC + NPK 100%, p1 = 60 mL L-1 POC + NPK 100%, p2 = 120 mL L-1 POC + NPK 100%, p3 = 180 mL L-1 POC + NPK 100%, p4 = 0 mL L-1 POC + NPK 50%, p5 = 60 mL L-1 POC + NPK 50%, p6 = 120 mL L-1 POC + NPK 50%, dan p7= 180 mL L-1 POC + NPK 50%kombinasi dosis POC dan NPK yang diulang 3 kali. Data dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam (ANOVA) dan uji DMRT pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian POC kulit nanas dan pupuk NPK berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang, jumlah buah per tanaman, diameter dan panjang buah, bobot buah per tanaman, dan bobot buah per buah, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap umur berbunga. Perlakuan terbaik diperoleh pada pemberian POC 60–180 mL L⁻¹ + NPK 50%, yang mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman terung ungu secara optimal. Jambi Province has great potential in cultivating purple eggplant; however, its productivity remains suboptimal due to soil conditions dominated by less fertile ultisol soils. This study aimed to examine the effects of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) made from pineapple peel and NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of purple eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) variety Yuvita F1. The research was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi, over a period of 3 months using a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with 8 treatment levels: p0 = 0 mL L⁻¹ LOF + 100% NPK, p1 = 60 mL L⁻¹ LOF + 100% NPK, p2 = 120 mL L⁻¹ LOF + 100% NPK, p3 = 180 mL L⁻¹ LOF + 100% NPK, p4 = 0 mL L⁻¹ LOF + 50% NPK, p5 = 60 mL L⁻¹ LOF + 50% NPK, p6 = 120 mL L⁻¹ LOF + 50% NPK, and p7 = 180 mL L⁻¹ LOF + 50% NPK. Each treatment was replicated three times. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level. The results showed that the application of pineapple peel LOF and NPK fertilizer significantly affected plant height, number of branches, number of fruits per plant, fruit diameter and length, fruit weight per plant, and fruit weight per fruit, but had no significant effect on flowering time. The best treatment was obtained with the application of 60–180 mL L⁻¹ LOF + 50% NPK, which effectively improved the growth and yield of purple eggplant.
