Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui lama penyimpanan terbaik wafer ransum komplit (WRK) berbasis limbah kol berperekat tepung tapioka yang dinilai dari kualitas fisik. Bahan penyusun konsentrat berupa bungkil inti sawit, bungkil kelapa, dedak padi, mineral mix, NaCl serta bahan perekat berupa tepung tapioka. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan adalah WRK Tanpa disimpan atau kontrol (P0), penyimpanan WRK 2 minggu (P1), penyimpanan WRK 4 minggu (P2) dan penyimpanan WRK 6 minggu (P3). Parameter yang diamati meliputi kerapatan, ketahanan benturan, berat jenis, kadar air dan daya serap air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lama penyimpanan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kerapatan, kadar air dan daya serap air WRK berbasis limbah kol. Namun lama penyimpanan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap ketahanan benturan dan berat jenis WRK berbasis limbah kol. Uji Polinomial Orthogonal menunjukkan adanya hubungan kuadratik antara lama penyimpanan dengan ketahanan benturan WRK dan berat jenis WRK. Lama penyimpanan yang paling optimal untuk wafer ransum komplit berbasis limbah kol adalah 4 minggu dengan ketahanan benturan 98%, BJ 1,30 g/ml, The purpose of this study was to determine the best storage time of complete ration wafers (WRK) based on cabbage waste with tapioca flour adhesive assessed from physical quality. The ingredients of the concentrate were palm kernel meal, coconut meal, rice bran, mineral mix, NaCl and tapioca flour adhesive. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments were WRK without storage or control (P0), 2 weeks of WRK storage (P1), 4 weeks of WRK storage (P2) and 6 weeks of WRK storage (P3). The parameters observed included density, impact resistance, specific gravity, water content and air absorption. The results showed that storage time had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the density, water content and water absorption of WRK based on cabbage waste. However, storage time had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the impact resistance and specific gravity of WRK based on cabbage waste. Orthogonal Polynomial Test shows a quadratic relationship between storage time and the impact resistance of WRK and the specific gravity of WRK. The most optimal storage time for complete ration wafers based on cabbage waste is 4 weeks with an impact resistance of 98%, BJ 1.30 g/ml,
