Abstract

This study is designed to examine the dynamics of poverty, inflation, and provincial minimum wage policies and their relationship with unemployment in Bungo Regency. The analysis employs multiple linear regression to test the influence of these variables both jointly and individually. The findings reveal that unemployment in Bungo Regency fluctuated during the period 2010–2024, with an average change of 3.37 percent. Over the same years, inflation displayed annual instability with an average rate of –2.75 percent. In contrast, the provincial minimum wage showed an upward tendency despite fluctuations, recording an average growth of 8.55 percent per year. The regression results indicate that inflation and the provincial minimum wage, when tested collectively, exert a significant and positive effect on unemployment in Bungo Regency. Furthermore, partial testing confirms that both inflation and the minimum wage significantly influence unemployment, whereas poverty does not exhibit a meaningful impact. These findings highlight the crucial role of macroeconomic factors, particularly inflation and wage regulations, in shaping unemployment trends, thereby offering valuable insights for regional labor policy formulation.
