Abstract
Noprianti, Roza. 2020. Students Errors’ in Using Personal Pronouns at Grade X Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Wathan Pasar Kembang. Thesis. English Education Study Program Language and Art Department Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Jambi University in Academic Year 2019/2020. The first supervisor is Nely Arif, S.Pd., M.Pd. the second supervisor is Drs. Ahmad Ridha, MA. The objective of this research were to know the percentage of students’ error in using Personal Pronoun and to know what kind of Personal Pronouns error that is often made by students. The participants of this research were students at grade XA and X B of Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Wathan Pasar Kembang. To get the data, th students were given 50 short answer about Personal Pronoun. The result of the analysis showed that the percentage error of personal pronouns were: Reflexive Pronoun 156 (30%), Possessive Adjective 119 (22,88%), Subject Pronoun 108 (20,76%), Possessive Pronoun 80 (15,38%), and Object Pronoun 66 (12,69%). Based on all the findings above, it was found that the common errors which were made by students at grade X of Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Wathan Pasar Kembang, Pekanbaru; is in using reflexive pronoun.
