Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya perkembangan teknologi yang terjadi saat ini sehingga menjadi tantangan bagi guru untuk dapat mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam sistem pembelajaran. Canva merupakan salah satu aplikasi yang dapat dijadikan media pembelajaran selain dapat memanfaatkan teknologi, aplikasi ini dapat membantu siswa untuk lebih kreatif dalam menulis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi canva terhadap hasil menulis teks iklan poster siswa kelas VIII di SMP Nasional Sariputra Kota Jambi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian quasy eksperimental dengan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini ialah seluruh siswa SMP Nasional Sariputra Jambi, dengan Sampel yang digunakan yaitu kelas VIII A sebanyak 27 siswa sebagai kelompok kontrol dan VIII B sebanyak 27 siswa sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara Observasi dan Tes. Bedasarkan data yang diperoleh dapat diketahui, bahwa hasil menulis iklan poster siswa menggunakan aplikasi Canva berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar. Dengan taraf sig < 0,05, dan hasil karya yang telah di kerjakan siswa menggunakan aplikasi canva dapat menjadi portofolio digital. Dari hasil penelitian ini disarankan kepada guru agar memilih media pembelajaran yang baik dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesa. Salah satunya dengan menggunakan aplikasi canva dalam materi teks iklan poster kelas VIII. This research is motivated by the current technological developments so that it becomes a challenge for teachers to be able to integrate technology in the learning system. Canva is an application that can be used as a learning medium, besides being able to use technology, this application can help students to be more creative in writing. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of using the Canva application on the results of writing poster advertisement texts for class VIII students at Sariputra National Junior High School Jambi City. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study were all students of Sariputra Jambi National Junior High School, with the samples used were 27 students in class VIII A as the control group and 27 students in VIII B as the experimental group. Data collection is done by means of Observation and Test. Based on the data obtained, it can be seen that the results of writing student poster advertisements using the Canva application have an effect on learning outcomes. With a sig level < 0.05, and the work that students have done using the Canva application can become a digital portfolio. From the results of this study, it is suggested to the teacher to choose a good learning media in learning Indonesian. One of them is using the Canva application in the class VIII poster advertising text material.
