Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan aktif MIKiR terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Al Falah Kota Jambi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain nonequivalent control group design (desain pretest-posttest kelompok kontrol tanpa acak). Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tes menulis teks eksplanasi yang dilakukan sebanyak dua kali, yaitu pre-test dan postest. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII.1 dan VIII.2 SMP Islam Al Falah Kota Jambi dengan jumlah siswa masing-masing kelas 29 orang. Teknik analisis hasil belajar siswa dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas dan uji t-test. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai pretest dan postes siswa pada kelas kontrol maupun kelas eksperimen. Adapun nilai rata-rata pre-test di kelas kontrol sebesar 66,52 dan nilai rata-rata post-test sebesar 79,10. Sementara itu, nilai rat-rata pre-test di kelas eksperimen sebesar 68,38 dan nilai rata-rata post-test di kelas eksperimen sebesar 83,03. Setelah itu, dilakukan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil uji t menunjukan bahwa nilai sig (2-tailed) hasil posttest sebesar 0,005 < 0,05, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa HO (Hipotesis nol) ditolak dan Ha (Hipotesis Alternatif ) diterima. Artinya terdapat pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran aktif MIKiR terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Islam Al Falah Kota Jambi. This research aims to determine the effect of the MIKiR active approach on the ability to write explanatory texts for class VIII students at Al Falah Middle School, Jambi City. This type of research is quasi-experimental research using a nonequivalent control group design (pretest-posttest control group design without randomization). The data collection technique in this research was carried out using an explanatory text writing test which was carried out twice, namely pre-test and post-test. The research subjects were students in classes VIII.1 and VIII.2 of Al Falah Islamic Middle School, Jambi City with 29 students in each class. The analysis technique for student learning outcomes was analyzed using normality, homogeneity and t-tests. From the research results, the pretest and posttest scores of students in the control class and experimental class were obtained. The average pre-test score in the control class was 66.52 and the average post-test score was 79.10. Meanwhile, the average pre-test score in the experimental class was 68.38 and the average post-test score in the experimental class was 83.03. After that, hypothesis testing was carried out using the t-test. Based on the results of the t test showing that the sig (2-tailed) posttest result is 0.005 < 0.05, it can be concluded that HO (null hypothesis) is rejected and Ha (alternative hypothesis) is accepted. This means that there is an influence of the MIKiR active learning approach on the ability to write explanatory texts in class VIII Al Falah Islamic Middle School, Jambi City.
