Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan media video animasi Powtoon dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita untuk memperbaiki pembelajaran di kelas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan proses dan hasil pembelajaran. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan model kurt Lewin yang terdiri dari dua siklus atas empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII A SMPN 4 Muaro Jambi berjumlah 21 siswa. Data dan sumber data penelitian adalah hasil unjuk kerja siswa dan penilaian unjuk kerja siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik wawancara, tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Uji validitas data menggunakan triangulasi teknik. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif miles dan Huberman yakni pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media video animasi Powtoon dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran menulis teks berita di kelas VII A SMPN 4 Muaro Jambi. Peningkatan proses pembelajaran terlihat meningkatnya pada tiap tindakan, pada pra tindakan hanya 3 siswa yang terlibat aktif, siklus I berjumlah 9 siswa, dan siklus II sebanyak 14 siswa. Peningkatan hasil pembelajaran siswa telah mencapai KKTP yaitu hasil belajar pra tindakan dengan rata-rata 68,1, siklus I menjadi 74, dan siklus II meningkat menjadi 78,7. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadinya peningkatan yang terjadi pada proses dan hasil pembelajaran. Pada pelaksanaan tahap pra tindakan didapatkan hasil yang masih rendah selanjutnya melakukan tindakan siklus I dengan penggunaan media video animasi powtoon dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita mengalami peningkatan meskipun masih terdapat siswa yang belum mencapai kktp. Selanjutnya dilakukan perbaikan pada media video animasi powtoon, serta dilakukannya perbaikan pada proses dan hasil belajar. Pelaksanaan siklus II mengalami peningkatan proses dan hasil pembelajaran telah tercapai dengan rata-rata 78,7. This research was conducted using Powtoon animated video media in learning to write news texts to improve learning in class. The aim of this research is to improve the learning process and outcomes. The research was conducted using a type of classroom action research (PTK) with the Kurt Lewin model which consists of two cycles of four stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The research subjects were 21 students in class VII A of SMPN 4 Muaro Jambi. The research data and data sources are the results of student performance and assessments of student performance. The data collection techniques used were interviews, tests, observations and documentation. Test the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman interactive model, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions or verification. The results of the research show that the use of Powtoon animated video media can improve learning to write news texts in class VII A of SMPN 4 Muaro Jambi. The improvement in the learning process was seen to increase with each action, in the pre-action only 3 students were actively involved, in cycle I there were 9 students, and in cycle II there were 14 students. The increase in student learning outcomes has reached the KKTP, namely pre-action learning outcomes with an average of 68.1, cycle I became 74, and cycle II increased to 78.7. It can be concluded that there has been an increase in the learning process and outcomes. In the implementation of the pre-action stage, the results were still low, then carrying out the first cycle of action using Powtoon animation video media in learning to write news texts experienced an increase even though there were still students who had not yet reached KKTP. Furthermore, improvements were made to the Powtoon animation video media, as well as improvements to the learning process and outcomes. The implementation of cycle II has experienced an increase in the process and learning outcomes have been achieved with an average of 78.7.
