Abstract

Proses pembelajaran harus menyenangkan dan memotivasi siswa untuk berpartisipasi aktif, memerlukan keterampilan pendidik dalam menggunakan model dan media yang tepat. Observasi di SMA Negeri 7 Kota Jambi menunjukkan rendahnya partisipasi siswa dan keterbatasan media pembelajaran menyebabkan kurang efektifnya proses belajar kimia, dengan hanya 60% siswa mencapai KKM. Untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar, diperlukan model dan media yang dapat memotivasi siswa, seperti model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation (GI) berbantuan media ular tangga. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain Quasi Experimental untuk mengetahui pengaruh model GI berbantuan media ular tangga terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi asam basa di SMA Negeri 7 Kota Jambi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model GI berbantuan media ular tangga berdampak positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa, dengan rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen 80,67 dan kelas kontrol 74,67. Uji statistik menunjukkan thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (2,3791 > 1,6715), sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh positif penerapan model GI berbantuan media ular tangga terhadap hasil belajar siswa. The learning process should be enjoyable and motivate students to actively participate, requiring educators' skills in using appropriate models and media. Observations at SMA Negeri 7 Kota Jambi indicate that low student participation and limited learning media result in an ineffective chemistry learning process, with only 60% of students reaching the minimum passing grade. To improve learning outcomes, it is necessary to use models and media that can motivate students, such as the Group Investigation (GI) cooperative learning model assisted by the snakes and ladders game.This study uses a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental design to determine the effect of the GI model assisted by the snakes and ladders game on student learning outcomes in acid-base material at SMA Negeri 7 Kota Jambi. The results show that the use of the GI model assisted by the snakes and ladders game has a positive impact on student learning outcomes, with an average posttest score of 80.67 for the experimental class and 74.67 for the control class. Statistical tests indicate that tcount is greater than ttable (2.3791 > 1.6715), leading to the conclusion that the implementation of the GI model assisted by the snakes and ladders game positively affects student learning outcomes
