Abstract

The use of Tapping Box is one of the efforts made by the Jambi City Government to optimize regional tax revenues. However, due to various problems that have occurred, the use of Tapping Box implemented by the Jambi City Government is considered not optimal. The aim of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of the Tapping Box used in collecting local taxes in Jambi City and identify what factors influence the effectiveness of using Tapping Boxes in local tax collection activities in Jambi City. The research method used in this research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Using effectiveness theory according to Ni Wayan Budiani. Data collection techniques were carried out using in-depth interviews with informants, observation and documentation. Based on the research results, the effectiveness of using Tapping Box in increasing Jambi City regional tax revenues can be said to be ineffective, reviewed using analysis of effectiveness indicators. Several factors that influence this include; low awareness of taxpayers, less intense socialization process, less than optimal supervision process and technical obstacles.
