Abstract
Kemampuan literasi sains anak usia dini perlu distimulasi namun masih terdapat beberapa beberapa permasalahan diantaranya 2 anak hanya mengenal tanaman melalui gambar atau buku saja, 4 orang anak tidak dapat mengelompokkan bagian-bagian tanaman, dan 3 anak belum paham cara merawat tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kegiatan ecoprint terhadap kemampuan literasi sains anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Al-Hadi Raziq Sultan Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Pre-Eksperimental design dengan bentuk One Grup Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu 9 anak pada kelas B1. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi dan dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan lembar observasi sebagai instrument penelitian yang telah diuji validasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis menggunakan Paired Sampel Test. Hasil dari analisis data menggunakan pengujian hipotesis uji-t Paired Samles Test diperoleh nilai thitung 23,290 > ttabel 2,360, maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara kemampuan lierasi sains anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Al-Hadi Raziq Sultan Kota Jambi pada data pte-test dan post-test. untuk melihat berapa besar pengaruh, dapat diketahui dengan perhitungan effect size menggunakan rumus cohen’s, besarnya pengaruh penggunaan kegiatan ecoprint terhadap kemampuan literasi sains anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Al-Hadi Raziq Sultan Kota Jambi sebesar 11,29. Hasil tersebut didalam tabel kriteria interpretasi nilai cohen’s termasuk kedalam kategori yang berefek kuat (strong effect) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains anak usia 5-6 tahun. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian dan pembahasan didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa kegiatan ecoprint berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan literasi sains anak usia 5-6 tahun di di TK Al-Hadi Raziq Sultan Kota Jambi. The scientific literacy skills of early childhood need to be stimulated; however, several issues have been identified. Among them, two children only recognize plants through pictures or books, four children are unable to classify the parts of a plant, and three children do not understand how to care for plants. This study aims to determine the effect of ecoprint activities on the scientific literacy skills of children aged 5–6 years at TK Al-Hadi Raziq Sultan, Jambi City. This research uses a Pre-Experimental Design with the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design model. The sample consists of 9 children from class B1, selected through purposive sampling. Data collection techniques include observation and documentation. The researcher used an observation sheet as the research instrument, which had undergone validation testing. Data analysis techniques included a normality test, a homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample t-Test. The results of the data analysis using the t-test for hypothesis testing showed a t-value (tcount) of 23.290, which is greater than the t-table value of 2.360, indicating that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that there is a significant effect between the pre-test and post-test results on the scientific literacy abilities of children aged 5–6 years at TK Al-Hadi Raziq Sultan, Jambi City. To determine the magnitude of the effect, the effect size was calculated using Cohen’s formula, and the result was 11.29. According to the interpretation criteria for Cohen’s value, this score falls into the category of a strong effect on the improvement of scientific literacy skills in children aged 5–6 years. Based on the research findings and discussion, it can be concluded that ecoprint activities have a positive effect on the scientific literacy skills of children aged 5–6 years at TK Al-Hadi Raziq Sultan, Jambi City.
