Abstract

faced by educators in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. TK Islam Al-Azhar 57 Muaro Jambi has been implementing the Merdeka Curriculum for two years. The objectives of this study are to: (1) describe the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at TK Islam Al-Azhar 57 Muaro Jambi, (2) identify the obstacles faced by educators in applying the curriculum, and (3) find solutions to overcome these challenges. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection methods include interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis method employs descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that: (1) the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at TK Islam Al-Azhar 57 Muaro Jambi was preceded by socialization activities conducted by both the foundation and the government. The learning process consists of opening, core, and closing activities. The school also implements the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) and extracurricular activities; (2) the main obstacles faced by educators are related to the fact that some teachers are still undergoing training, which creates difficulties in developing learning modules and applying differentiated instruction; (3) to overcome these challenges, educators actively participate in teacher working group (KKG) activities, engage in independent learning through the Merdeka Mengajar Platform (PMM), and collaborate with fellow teachers to determine effective teaching methods.
